This study presents a short overview about Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) batteries and its applicability on either hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) or motorcycle with the hybrid transmission in particular. This study deals with optimal operating characteristics calculation, comparison, and experiment Li-ion battery for HEM (Hybrid Electric Motorcycle) application, which is renovated from Honda Lead 110cc with the direct-driven front wheel by Brushless DC Electric Motor, the rear wheel is driven by internal combustion engine with the original continuously variable transmission (CVT). Both of them are able to provide torque independently or concurrently. The results of this research can be used to study optimal power source and the operating cost of the vehicle after renovation.
This paper presents the comparative analysis of HTK and Sphinx which are the two most popular open source automatic speech recognition systems. We used many datasets to investigate the performances of these tools in Vietnamese speech recognition.
A fast neutron detector using the EJ- 301 scintillator was manufactured for study on detecting fast neutrons and gamma-rays. Detector characteristics include the energy linearity, the efficiency response and the neutron/gamma discrimination were guaranteed for neutron detection in the energy range from 50 to 3000 keVee. The ability discrimination of neutrons/gamma-rays of the detector was evaluated by the charge comparison (CC) method using an 252Cf source. The total efficiencies when measured on 22Na, 137Cs, 60Co and 252Cf sources were obtained 17.8%, 3.9%, 9.8% and 14.8%, respectively. The Figure of Merit (FoM) values of CC method were 0.4–1.55 for the range of energy 50–1000 keVee (keV electron equivalent).
Internet-assisted MANETs architecture is an emerging solution, strongly introduced in recent years. In fact, MANETs are self-configurable wireless network models for convenient communication between mobile nodes in the network. Because of simplicity, MANETs are applied in a series of domains to serve humanity, such as intelligent agriculture, intelligent transport system, and IoT ecosystem. To extend the ability of MANETs, the integration of Internet and MANETs to form Internet-assisted MANETs architecture was introduced in many studies. However, one of the biggest problems of this solution is how to choose the optimal Internet gateway. This study proposes a gateway selection mechanism based on parameters, including hop number and gateway traffic. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism, we compare the proposed solution with previous solutions. The simulation results demonstrated that our solution improved end-to-end delay, routing overload, and loss packet ratio compared to previous protocols.
