Pregnancy is a critical time in the course of life, having both health and social impacts for individuals, family, and society. The prevalence of undernutrition among pregnant women in a rural area of Assam, India, was examined using anthropometric and biochemical assessments. Key socioeconomic factors that affect nutritional status were examined. A cross-sectional study with a sample of 285 women from all three trimesters was done. The results found that 48% of the women were below normal for Body Mass Index (BMI), indicating a high level of undernutrition. The age of the mother and husband's occupation showed a strong positive correlation with BMI, while family size and income level showed a negative correlation. The results of the biochemical analysis showed that 62% of the women were anemic, and copper and zinc levels were 29% and 12% below normal levels, respectively. The study findings indicate that undernutrition is far higher than national and global standards.
In this paper, a new kind of distribution has suggested with the concept of exponentiate. The reliability analysis including survival function, hazard rate function, reverse hazard rate function and mills ratio has been studied here. Its quantile function and order statistics are also included. Parameters of the distribution are estimated by the method of Maximum Likelihood estimation method along with Fisher information matrix and confidence intervals have also been given. The application has been discussed with the 30 years temperature data of Silchar city, Assam, India. The goodness of fit of the proposed distribution has been compared with Frechet distribution and as a result, for all 12 months, the proposed distribution fits better than the Frechet distribution.
In this paper, we have proposed a new version of three parameters log-Pearson type III distribution known as weighted Log-Pearson type III distribution. The different structural properties of the newly model have been studied. The maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters and the Fishers information matrix have been discussed. Finally, a real-life data set has been analyzed.
Many distribution functions, can be explored in numerous dimensions with their extended form. In this paper an extended form of exponential distribution is studied by the quadratic rank transmutation map, called three parameter transmuted exponential distribution, where the base distribution is exponential distribution with two parameters \(\theta\) > 0 and \(\beta\) > 0 , shape and location parameters respectively. Some statistical properties have been studied for the said distribution including moments, quantile function, moment generating function, reliability analysis, mills ratio, reverse hazard rate function, order statistics, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves and indices, mean deviation about mean and median, estimation of parameter. The applicability have been explored by comparing value of -2ℓ, AIC and BIC using real data set.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
