Endometrial ablation (EA) is an effective procedure for the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB). It is a minimally invasive alternative to hysterectomy, with reduced recovery time and fewer operative risks. 1 Most patients experience reduced bleeding 2,3 and improved quality of life after ablation. 1-3 However, 10-30% of patients require further surgery including hysterectomy. 4,5
