Wireless Sensor Networks, are made of low-cost, low-power, small in size, and multifunctional sensor nodes. The efficient energy utilization is one of the important performance factors for wireless sensor networks survivability be-cause nodes operate with limited battery power. In this paper we propose and analyze a new approach of zone based clustering head selection algorithm for wireless sensor network of homogeneous nodes. Nodes in the network are uniformly distributed. In this clustering algorithm, network performance is improved by selecting cluster heads on the basis of the residual energy of existing cluster heads, and nearest hop distance of the node. In this paper we evaluate various performance metrics like energy consumption, network life time, number of channel heads metrics in each round and compare these with respect to random algorithm i.e. LEACH. We conclude that proposed protocol effectively extends the network lifetime without degrading the other critical overheads and perform-ance metrics.
Constant and consistent exercise improves the efficiency of our lungs, and everyone, especially young adults, need to work on this organ along with the rest of their body for a healthier life. Hence the present pilot study was undertaken to show that consistent GYM training would exhibit a significantly greater lung capacity. Aim: To compare the lung functions in students undergoing gym training and sedentary students. Material and Methods: This Pilot study was conducted in 40 healthy male medical students in the age group of 20 to 30yrs. The recruited students were divided into two groups - Group1 with Gym training and Group2 Sedentary students. Both the groups were age and BMI matched in order to minimize the confounding factors and make the study reproducible. Lung functions of both the groups were assessed by a computerized RMS Spirometer Helios 401.Unpaired t - test was used for statistical analysis. Results: The study revealed that the Mean % FEV1 of Group1 (4.28) was significantly higher as compared to Group 2 subjects (3.30) Mean percent of FEV1 /FVC also had a higher value for Gym group (94.41) than sedentary group (87.36). Mean % FEF (25 – 75) was 5.57 and PEFR was 8.96 in Group1 as compared to 4.33 and 6.30 in Group2 respectively. FVC did not show significant change. Conclusion: We concluded that a physically active lifestyle improves the lung functions and delays its decline. Therefore, it's imperative that the younger generation should incorporate some form of regular exercise regimen in their lifestyle for their physical and mental wellbeing.
Entrepreneurship refers to the process of setting up of a new business by involving innovation and take advantages from the opportunities. Entrepreneurs play a key role in contributing for the economy where they organize all factors of production, undertake risk and they help in creating new wealth and new jobs. Women entrepreneur organizes and manages business enterprise by introducing ideas and taking risk. Women entrepreneurship is gaining attention and importance on creation of new business for growth and development. The need of entrepreneurship has emerged because of the dependency on service sector and hence created opportunities for women to come forward and utilise their skills to enhance social status and reputation. Government of India has taken many initiatives especially in rural area like providing special training facilities to women by developing their skills and ability to participate in the labour force, ensuring childcare, improving their position in society and equal treatment at workplace. The present study is an attempt to explore about women entrepreneurship in Indian context. India is recognized as male dominated country where women are considered as weaker and inferior in comparison with male counterparts. For the development of women, this differential treatment proved to be the major obstacle in all fields of life especially in entrepreneurship. The objective of this research is to identify the challenges and opportunities faced by women entrepreneurs and also study the schemes provided by Government of India. Data has been collected through secondary sources.
