Good facilities, effective and efficient chemical laboratory management must be applied so that chemistry practicum activities can be carried out properly. Previous research has shown that the management of chemical laboratories in several high schools has not been carried out properly, so it is necessary to conduct this study at SMA Negeri 1 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of chemical laboratory management at SMA Negeri 1 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. This research was conducted qualitatively accompanied by descriptive analysis. Subjects in this study; principal, person in charge/head of chemical laboratory, laboratory staff and chemistry teacher. Collecting data by observation, interviews and documentation. Next, the research results are classified into 4 aspects of laboratory management which consist of planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring which are divided into 28 criteria. The results obtained are the management of the chemistry laboratory which is well implemented 75%, less good 10.72% and not good 14.28%. The conclusion of this study is that the chemical laboratory management at SMA Negeri 1 Tapaktuan South Aceh has not been effective because it has not reached 80% of all aspects of chemical laboratory management.
The purposes of this study were to know teachers' strategy in promoting the school environment sanitation and to identify the shortcomings arised when attempts to do so. The analysis method used were descriptive qualitative, and data collection techniques were observation, interview, documentation, and literature study. Furthermore, the objects of this research were 1 principal, counseling teachers, and students of SMPN 8 Banda Aceh. The result revealed teacher's strategy in promoting the school environment sanitation were through group guiding, group counseling, orientation services, and information services. The shortcomings arose in new academic year when new students were recruited. These freshmen had to adapt to school policies, including on school environment sanitation. These adaptation process surely would take times. A. PENDAHULUANKeberadaan guru bimbingan konseling di sekolah sangat penting dalam dunia pendidikan, karena dapat membantu siswa yang menghadapi berbagai persoalan dalam mengikuti pelajaran, baik yang disebabkan oleh siswa itu sendiri, keluarga ataupun masyarakat. Guru bimbingan konseling juga dapat mengatasi berbagai masalah, salah satunya terkait dengan kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, lingkungan kelas, dan sekitaran ruangan lainnya. Kebersihan adalah "keadaan bebas dari kotoran, termasuk diantaranya debu, sampah, dan bau (Dayantos.S, 1998). Lingkungan sekolah merupakan lingkungan yang paling dekat dengan siswa selama siswa melakukan kegiatan belajar di sekolah.Kondisi ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar dengan memanfaatkan halaman sekolah untuk kegiatan belajar mengajar (Ningrum, 2013).Lingkungan di sekitar sekolah yang bersih sangat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa, jika lingkungan sekolah banyak hal yang negatif, maka perilaku siswa cenderung Taslima 38 HISBAH: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling dan Dakwah Islam Vol. 15, No. 2, Desember 2018 mengikuti hal-hal negatif pula, seperti membuang sampah sembarangan, tidak memakai pakaian yang rapi dan bersih, dan sebagainya.
