Neste artigo serão abordados os fundamentos da Educação no campo e os conceitos básicos da agroecologia e agricultura familiar, nas escolas rurais de Campo Grande/MS, dando destaque e divulgando as políticas educacionais e as atividades práticas realizadas e vivenciadas durante a execução deste projeto de pesquisa. Identificam-se as práticas ecológicas e a percepção da comunidade escolar e rural, em relação ao respeito do meio ambiente e dos recursos naturais, destacando a importância na formação dos alunos e cidadãos. O estudo foi realizado no município de Campo Grande/MS, através de levantamento bibliográfico, visita técnica as escolas da zona rural e a condução de reuniões pedagógicas para compreender os processos educacionais e as políticas educacionais adotadas para Educação do campo e suas especificidades regionais. Por meio desta pesquisa se pode perceber que as práticas agroecológicas estão de acordo com as diretrizes das políticas públicas da Educação do campo, que estreita a relação entre os sistemas produtivos, homem-natureza, buscando a sustentabilidade ecológica, econômica, social, cultural, política e ética, focada no fortalecimento da agricultura familiar, pequenas propriedades, na mão de obra familiar, em sistemas produtivos complexos e diversos, adaptados às condições locais. Abstract In this study the ecological practices and the perception of the school and rural community will be identified, regarding the respect for the environment and natural resources, highlighting the importance in the training. In this article the fundamentals of Education in the field and the basic concepts of Agroecology and family agriculture will be discussed, in the rural schools of Campo Grande / MS, highlighting and disseminating the educational policies and practical activities carried out and experienced during the execution of this research projecting of students and citizens. The study was carried out in the city of Campo Grande / MS, through a bibliographical survey, a technical visit to rural schools and the conduction of pedagogical meetings to understand the educational processes and educational policies adopted for rural education and its regional specificities. Through this research, one can perceive that agro-ecological practices are in accordance with the guidelines of the public policies of rural education, which narrows the relationship between productive systems, man-nature, seeking ecological, economic, social, cultural, politics and ethics, focused on strengthening family farming, small farms, family labor, complex and diverse production systems, adapted to local conditions.
