The main goal of this dissertation is to suggest contributions for career development of people in metanoia transition. This piece is the result of a qualitative research, that approaches analytical psychotherapy and career psychology concepts of human development. Several observations on career development were made, which were supported by the reseacher's professional experience and by excerpts from specialized bibliography, that highlighted some thoughts about development from analytycal psychology authors and career psychology authors. The result shows that both the analytical phychology and the career psychology consider metanoia as a critical period in adult life, that affects and is affected by the family, by love relationships and by career. Metanoia transition demands important psychological transformations, specially evocating persona and shadow creatives potencials. It is a great opportunity of development during adulthood. This dissertation also highlights the polarities that claim for major transformation during metanoia transition. It also lists several reasons that lead people look for help in career development during metanoia transition and raises a discussion about the importance of a careful diagnosis and the professional education on carreer development.
