The Institute of Life Insurance is actively growing all over the world and especially in developing countries in order to provide an increase in the duration and quality of life of the population. The increasing role of life insurance in the economic and social sphere of the country requires a theoretical understanding of its place in the system of market relations and effective implementation. The purpose of the study is to develop the theoretical and methodological basis of life insurance, substantiate methodological approaches to its study in the context of a systematic approach through the prism of various models functioning. As a result of the study theoretical determinants of life insurance model are revealed, and a methodology for determining the financial stability of the applied life insurance model has been developed.
Life insurance is one of the effective mechanisms of protection against social risks. This product can protect a person in case of disability, provide medical care, increase cash savings. In Russia, in the context of a decrease in the financial capabilities of the state, fragmentation and unsystematic decision-making in the field of life insurance regulation, fundamental changes are being made in the life insurance system. A natural consequence of this situation was a downward trend in some indicators of the development of the Russian life insurance model. The research purpose is to assess the financial stability of the life insurance model used in Russia. As a result of the study, the features of the Russian life insurance model were revealed and its strengths and weaknesses, challenges and threats were identified on the basis of a SWOT analysis; the main factors influencing the balance of financial flows of the Russian life insurance model were identified; an assessment of the financial stability of the Russian life insurance model was carried out.
Ensuring the development of life insurance as a significant component of the national economy and a source that ensures the formation of the country’s long-term financial resources is traditionally of interest to researchers. A relatively new research vector may be the study of the issue of creating and developing a life insurance ecosystem, within which interactions between various financial institutions can be expanded. The article gives a brief description of the current state (development trends) of public and private life insurance in Russia and determines the need for their organization and development in the context of an ecosystem based on the creation of a single digital platform. The research purpose is to analyze the possibilities of creating a life insurance ecosystem in Russia and its functioning on the basis of a single digital platform. To achieve the research purpose, such methods as a systemic and logical analysis, a method of induction were used. The research results are as follows: risks that the life insurance ecosystem may face were identified and some ways to minimize them were proposed. In conclusion, the authors made a conclusion that the development of the life insurance ecosystem based on the creation of a single digital platform will expand the range of interactions between its participants and will make it possible to transform life insurance into a subject of national interest.
Self-regulation has a long history of application and is an efficient mechanism for monitoring the activities of business entities, while it is a new element of financial regulation for Russia. The impact of the industry specifics of Russian insurance market is analyzed herein. The research gap covered by this work consists in the insufficient elaboration and validity of corporate regulation (self-regulation) of insurance market. The purpose of the article is to develop recommendations for minimization of the negative effects of the transition from state regulation to self-regulation of the insurance market. Analytical and statistical methods are used to determine the readiness of the insurance market and the efficiency of the measures implemented by the state for the transition from state regulation to self-regulation. Recommendations for minimization of the negative effects of the transition from state regulation to self-regulation are given by the author, namely: to single out the Life Insurers Association (LIA) and to increase its role in the regulation; to amend current legislation, taking into account territorial location and contribution to the development of the national insurance market, namely the division of the insurance companies into federal and regional ones and the implementation of the measures on the regulation.
Ensuring the development of agriculture as an important branch of the national economy and a resource that ensures national food security is traditionally in the interests of researchers. The study of the development of human capital in agriculture on the basis of a system of comprehensive insurance protection can be a relatively new vector of research. The article provides a brief description of the current state (development trends) of human capital in agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Russian practice of organizing insurance protection of human resources involved in agriculture, and identifies the need for comprehensive insurance protection. Conclusions on the need to embed a policy to ensure the development of insurance in rural areas into a unified state policy for the development of agriculture in combination with a policy for the development of state pension provision are presented.
