The article deals with a topical problem – the development of distance education in the context of modern society’s digitalization. This problem is considered in view of the growing importance of electronic educational resources (EER) to increase the educational process efficiency through a remote interactive mode. The analysis of the given results helped to highlight the current problems of modern education in a distance format: the lack of contact interaction between the participants, which allows implementing a differentiated approach and solve educational problems; compliance with the mandatory requirements of distance education by students (student’s rigid self-discipline and high motivation); free access to EER; an increase in the number of independent tasks and the absence of constant feedback from students, etc. To solve the mentioned problems, it is necessary to ensure the organization of the educational process aimed to develop students’ sustainable interest in learning.
