The paper is dedicated to the development of hardware and software components for the autonomous water quality monitoring system (WQMS) for fishing farms. The system can measure main water quality parameters, storing and processing data on the remote server. The LoRaWAN technological solutions and infrastructure are utilized, providing the optimal tradeoff between data transmission range and adaptive power consumption. The main implementation and exploitation issues are described, and the proposed solutions are provided.
The paper presents the methodology of lectures of an innovative type. It is aimed at developing students' instrumental competences (ability to process information: create an associative array, paraphrase, interpret, assign to a concept; ability to organize information: to identify, differentiate, classify, establish a consequence, forecast; ability to analyze verbal and visual information; ability to find inconsistencies in reasoning, etc.). Understanding of educational information by students is rooted in self-study of the trainees, which creates conditions for development of their instrumental competences during the lectures. Learning outcomes in the intellectual and developmental education space is evaluated not according to the amount of information, given at the lecture, but to the depth of students’ understanding of this information and development of their instrumental competences, determining their ability to further self-education.
The multiphase composite ceramics with ТіB 2 -Al 2 O 3 -based matrix and LaB 6 -TiB 2 eutectic inclusions have been synthesised via reactive hot pressing of Al-В 2 О 3 -Ті-LaB 6 -ТіB 2 powder. The sintered materials were characterised by X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy. The intermediate melts of aluminium and boron oxide separated the inclusions and allowed the charge densification at 1600°C and 30 MPa during 16 min preserving the unique fibering microstructure of LaB 6 -TiB 2 granules. An additional heat release due to exothermic reactions in Al-В 2 О 3 -Ті mixture caused the inclusions surface melting and led to La in Al 2 O 3 dissolution and TiB 2 dendrites formation near the eutectic grain boundaries.
