Carefully selected language units, used by politicians in public speaking, in combination with social factors, can be a powerful instrument for managing public opinion, i.e. manipulation. The authors analyze public speeches delivered by English politicians. Manipulation is an integral part of American political discourse, all speech strategies of which are aimed at one purpose: to influence a recipient, persuade him or her to make a decision that will be beneficial for a politician. The article considers the main strategies, tactics and types of manipulation used in the modern political sphere. An analysis of public speeches of English politicians proves the importance of speech manipulative techniques for successful achievement of political goals.
The main failure causes of the working equipment of mine excavators with gear rack pressure are: a high level of their dynamic loading, exceeding the permissible level; a construction form leading to a high concentration of stresses; consequences of repair actions; relatively low qualifications of drivers and other factors. Using regression analysis of statistical data from a sample of a computational experiment, the authors of the article obtained an original mathematical model in which heterogeneous factors are interconnected.
This research is the first attempt to investigate the problem of the influence of social factors on the process of the name giving taking into account – its motives. The authors made an attempt to divide and systematize social factors of different character, describe their influence on the name giver. From the linguistic point of view, the authors describe in detail the process of changing the onym semantic structure under the influence of social factors. At the modern stage of the anthroponymics progress, the researchers described only social factors influencing name giving, however, their systematization has not been made. For detailed studying of the subject, a complex analysis was carried out, which includes such techniques as comparison, classification and evaluation. The research is relevant in the linguistic, social, national and cognitive aspects, as it demonstrates an interaction between language and society.
The article considers the basics of fuzzy simulation as a promising direction for solving practical problems. The paper deals with the example of practical simulation on a computer in the FuzzyTECH package to determine the level of loading the main elements of the mining excavator work equipment. The structural and parametric identification of the developed fuzzy model has been carried out.
Ergonomic studies aimed at ensuring competitiveness and compliance with the requirements of ergonomic standards of modern samples of traditional (mechanized) mining equipment will improve the reliability of the human operator. At the same time, it will allow creating the creation of comfortable and safe conditions for operators of remote-control devices for mining machines and dispatch centers for managing robotic mining equipment. The article presents economic assessment of measures when creating a comfortable working environment for a mining excavator operator.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
