We fabricated an 18.8inch panel with 7680*5000 pixels and 486 PPI which was used in 3D printer. The panel with mono color has excellent performance in flicker and cross talk in 30Hz driving frequency that can meets well with the demand of 3D printing. The panel also can operate well under 15Hz and above 40Hz. The panel was well designed in order to balance the performance in 405nm UV backlight and the panel loading. IGZO TFT was used to meet the industrial using environment and the optimal design of the TFT was carried out in the panel.
LCD with ASG inside may encounter malfunction phenomenon after high temperature reliability analysis (RA). The main reason we found is the Vth shift. We reported the characterization method of how to design the ASG with wide operating temperature in the former article [1]. In order to quantify the Vth deterioration, we designed a 3.45inch panel with circular active area and ASG driven units. Among the ASG units, one of the ASG unit was designed that can test TFT Id‐Vg. The test pads were designed on the CFOG side. We tested the Id‐Vg curves of each TFT before and after 85°C high temperature operation reliability analysis. We analyzed the Vth shift of each TFT and discussed the result. The mechanization of the reset circuit deterioration and the solutions to achieving high temperature reliability test are summed in the discussion.
We have developed a 7.5 inch micro LED device based on LTPS, the resolution is 320RGB × 240. The VSR driving circuits, demux circuits, ESD circuits were well‐distributed in AA combining with side bonding process, finally, we produced a 0mm border micro LED device. The VSR signal, PVDD and PVEE signal were well placed in panel in order to reduce the mura problem. We saved some extra space for edging to narrow border to negative value by adjusting AA circumference devices. Then the micro LED panel can be Seamless splicing while the pixel pitch seems continuous in spite of the Seam. Due to seamless splicing and the borderless features, we can assemble various size and resolution devices. The micro LED size is 85µm × 150µm and the luminance can reach beyond 600nit.
We fabricated a 7.5inch mini-LED RGB display panel with 0mm border based on glass substrate. The circuit scratch is a main reason that will cause line defects, dot defects, display malfunction and so on. We analyzed those defects then proposed and carried out some solutions to avoid circuit scratch. Finally, we produced a mini-LED RGB display panel with barely defects.
We have fabricated LCD panels with ASG circuits which can endure 1000 hours reliability test in ‐30°C and 85°C environment. The ASG circuits has 9 TFTs and 2 capacities. We presented three formulas to characterize ASG performance in the high temperature RA test. Those formulas fit well with the performance of the products so can guide the ASG design. We use spice simulation to characterize the ASG performance in low temperature RA test. The simulation results can well represent the no display failure in low temperature. The ASG circuits works well after RA test while the backlight luminance reaches 30000nit. Meanwhile the ASG circuits support both updown scan and down‐up scan. The ASG circuits also support irregular active area. Those attributes can meet the demands of vehicle display.
