Promotion is one type of communication that is often used by marketers, as one element of the promotional mix. The promotion process carried out by CV Fikri Karya Gemilang is a traditional promotion model, with direct visits without other alteratives. The promotion system still does not provide optimal performance for the company's revenue. Based on data from the company, there is a decrease in jobs that are not in accordance with the company's target and unreachable regional segmentation. This study uses the PIECES method by analyzing the company's promotion system. This research proposes a website design using the waterfall model and usability testing on the website with a total score of 0.72 which means good, and the application of online media as an internet-based promotion media. This study also looked at the effect of the adoption of a traditional promotion system and the adoption of an internet-based proposed promotion system using paired sample t-tests. Based on the PIECES analysis, it is found that there is a level of customer satisfaction with the application of a manual promotion system that is less than optimal, and the application of the proposed promotion system provides an increase in consumer satisfaction. Based on paired sample t-test, it can be concluded that the Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.0000015 means that there is a significant difference between the application of the traditional promotion system and the internet-based proposal promotion system.
Sistem inventory merupakan hal yang penting bagi sebuah perusahaan terutama bagi perusahaan distribusi barang. Keseimbangan antara persediaan dan permintaan sangat penting dalam pengelolaan gudang karena berkaitan dengan investasi di dalam inventori. Proses pengadaan barang dari pemasok dan proses pengeluaran barang oleh perusahaan aktivitas yang sering terjadi pada Swalayan Buyung Family. Perusahaan melakukan pemesanan berdasarkan intuisi tanpa mempertimbangkan penumpukan barang di gudang, sehingga dalam waktu tertentu akan menyebabkan penurunan kualitas. Proses dokumentasi barang saat ini masih bersifat manual, sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama dalam pencarian data seperti jumlah barang, supplier, dan konsumen disebabkan ketidaktersediaan database dalam sistem informasi yang terintegrasi. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan sistem pengendalian persediaan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) yang didukung dengan sebuah sistem informasi untuk mempermudah proses pencatatan aliran barang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan rancangan system informasi yang memberikan informasi tentang kuantitas pemesanan optimal, frekuensi pemesanan per tahun, dan titik pemesanan kembali sehingga membantu perusahaan dalam pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan pertimbangan biaya dan memungkinkan untuk mengukur seberapa efektif pemesanan.
This research solved a batch scheduling problem on dynamic flow shop environment, in which new orders are considered to insert in the current work. Decision making is made by comparing the total cost of the insertion schedule with the original schedule. Another feature of this model is its ability to accommodate multi product orders that are delivered on different due dates in which revised due date is allowed for each order. The proposed model is known as Mix Integer Non Linear Programming (MINLP) with a convex objective function. An algorithm is developed to find the best solutions of batch size and sequence that minimize total cost. A numerical experience is performed to show how the algorithm works.
<p class="Abstrak">Idealnya, semakin tinggi jumlah pendaftar di suatu institusi pendidikan, semakin tinggi kualitas dari mahasiswa yang diterima. Akan tetapi, kondisi ideal ini tidak dicapai oleh Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FST) UIN Suska Riau disebabkan karena sedikitnya jumlah mahasiswa yang berasal dari sekolah menengah unggul yang mendaftar sebagai mahasiswa di FST UIN Suska Riau. Berdasarkan survey terhadap dosen di FST UIN Suska, masih terdapat kendala yang cukup besar dalam proses transfer ilmu kepada mahasiswa terutama dalam hal daya tangkap dan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi ajar. Oleh karena itu, analisis lebih lanjut mengenai mahasiswa saat ini diperlukan untuk merancang sebuah strategi bagaimana menarik minat siswa yang berasal dari sekolah menengah unggul untuk mendaftar sebagai mahasiswa di FST UIN Suska Riau. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah segmentasi mahasiswa menggunakan algoritma K-Means dan teknik kluster menggunakan algoritma Dunn Index. Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebanyak 614 mahasiswa FST tahun ajaran 2015 sampai 2017. Output dari segmentasi mahasiswa digunakan untuk menentukan target dari Marketing Mix 7P. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 2 kluster mahasiswa dengan nilai <em>Dunn Index</em> 1,99. Kuesioner disebarkan kepada mahasiswa dari dua kluster yang berbeda tersebut dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga variabel Marketing Mix yang berpotensi untuk meningkatkan target pasar yaitu <em>people, product, dan place</em>.</p><p class="Abstrak"> </p><p class="Abstrak"><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p><p class="Judul2"><em>Ideally, the higher number of registrant in an educational institution, the higher quality of the accepted students. But, this ideal condition was not achieved by Faculty of Science dan Technology UIN Suska Riau due to the minimum number of students from top ranking senior high school who registered as student in FST UIN Suska Riau.</em> <em>Based on a survey of lecturers at FST UIN Suska, there are still significant limitations in the process of transferring knowledge to students, especially in terms of catching dan understdaning students towards teaching materials</em><em>. </em><em>Therefore, further analysis of current input of students is needed to design a strategy how to attract the high quality of high school students to register as student in FST UIN Suska Riau. The methodology in this research are student segmentations using K-Means Algorithm dan Clustering with Dunn Index Algorithm. The data collection derived from 614 students of FST in academic year 2015 until 2017. The output of student segmentations were used to determine the target using Marketing Mix 7P. This research yield two clusters of students with Dunn Index Value was 1.99. Dalam perkembangan industri saat ini yang terus maju maka setiap perusahaan dituntut untuk dapat bersaing dan mempunyai strategi yang tepat agar tidak ketinggalan dari perusahaan pesaing yang lainnya. Strategi dari perusahaan itu sendiri bermacam-macam, dapat berupa peningkatan kualitas, ketepatan waktu penyelesaian suatu pekerjaan dan lain sebagainya. UD. Wira Vulkanisir merupakan suatu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang vulkanisir ban, dengan jenis sistem produksi yang diterapkan yaitu MTO (Make To Order) dimana perusahaan ini sering mengalami keterlambatan dalam pengirim kepada konsumen, yang tentunya berdampak terhadap performa perusahaan itu sendiri. Penjadwalan dengan menggunakan metode CDS pada bulan maret 2019 mengahsilkan urutan job 9-8-7-6-3-4-2-5-1 dengan makespan sebesar 284,49 jam dimana metode ini lebih optimal dibandingkan dengan metode aktual perusahaan dengan selisih makespan sebesar 17,29 jam.Dari hasil penjadwalan menggunakan metode CDS dapat mempercepat proses produksi sebesar 5,6% di bandingkan penjadwalan perusahaan saat ini. Oleh karena ini itu, penajdwalan menggunakan metode CDS dapat di pertimbangkan oleh perusahaan untuk di terapkan di lantai produksi. Therefore, to meet customer demand and satisfaction, a scheduling system that is properly planned, effective and efficient is needed. UD. Wira Vulkanisir is a company engaged in tire retreading, with the type of production system being applied, namely MTO (Make To Order) where the company often experiences delays in the sender to consumers, which of course has an impact on the performance of the company itself. Scheduling using the CDS method in March 2019 produces a sequence of jobs 9-8-7-6-3-4-2-5-1 with makespan of 284.49 hours where this method is more optimal than the actual method of the company with a difference of makespan of 17.29 hours. From the results of scheduling using the CDS method it can speed up the production process by 5.6% compared to the current company scheduling. Because of this, the prediction of using the CDS method can be considered by the company to be applied on the production floor.
