Perkembangan media sosial dengan berbagai fitur yang dapat diakses dimanapun membuat semakin banyak pengguna media sosial dari berbagai kalangan seperti remaja. Penggunaan media sosial dengan berbagai dampaknya perlu disosialisasikan kepada remaja karena saat ini media sosial memiliki dampak positif dan negatif terhadap kesehatan fisik dan mental. Tujuan umum dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan remaja tentang dampak positif dan negatif penggunaan media sosial bagi kesehatan jiwa. Metode dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pendidikan kesehatan dengan pendekatan peer group. Hasil kegiatan ini didaptkan pre-test dan post-test, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test 78,6 dan post-test 96,6. Perbedaan peningkatan nilai rata-rata yaitu sebesar 18,1. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan nilai 0,000 (p<0,05) yang dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test yang dilakukan oleh para siswa di SMPN 21 Pekanbaru. Saran untuk pihak sekolah adalah untuk memasukkan kegiatan peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang media sosial, dampak positif serta dampak negatif dari penggunaan media sosial ke dalam jadwal ekstrakulikuler sekolah. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dalam kelompok-kelompok/ peer group bersama duta media sosial yang telah dipilih.
The use of wide variety of social media is in demand by adolescent in both urban and rural today. Social media makes adolescents easy to express feeling and post various activities. The uses of social media by adolescents in the rural have a difference with adolescents in urban areas. The use of social media can influence self-concept and social adjustment of adolescent in their environment. This research aims to know relationship between social media user and self-concept at SMPN 2 Singingi Hilir Riau. This research is a descriptive correlation research with cross sectional design. There are 252 respondents as samples. Collecting data of this research are using questioners from Social Networking Time Use Scale (SONTUS), Sriati Academic Self-concept (SASC), and Social Adjustment. In analyzing data the research uses Rank Spearman correlation test to observe relationship between two variables and canonical trials in order to determine the most dominant factor related to social media usage. The result of this research shows that majority of adolescent who use social media at SMPN 2 is low; most of them have positive self-concept and a quite good in social adjustment. The result of the correlation analysis shows that variables of social media usage have weak relationship between self-concept variable (rs = 0,224) and social adjustment variable (rs = 0,254). Based on result of canonic analysis, self-concept is a dominant factor in case in social media relation.
Internet addiction can occur in school-age children which has an impact on the inability of children to control themselves from using the internet, causing brain or mental functional problems in everyday life. Community service program is carried out according to the problem, namely educational activities and self-control training for students as an effort to prevent internet addiction. This self-control training was attended by 20 students of SDN 130 Pekanbaru. This program was preceded by health education about internet addiction, then trained students to exercise self-control in using gadgets and the internet and were evaluated after six days of self-control exercises. Programs were measured using a knowledge questionnaire and KDAI internet addiction diagnostic questionnaire as well as the results of a reminder card. The results of the pre-test showed that the average knowledge of the participants was 85.11 and the post-test was 90.82. This program proved to be successful where objectively there was an increase in participants' knowledge about Covid-19 and the use of gadgets.
Peningkatan jumlah lansia juga mengakibatkan berbagai permasalahan dalam kehidupan saat ini. Beberapa masalah tersebut diantaranya adalah tingkat kemandirian lansia yang menurun karena adanya kemundurun fungsi tubuh, psikis dan juga dari fungsi sosial. Tidak seluruhnya lansia tinggal bersama keluarga ataupun anak-anaknya. Beberapa lansia harus tinggal di Panti Werdha seperti di UPT. Pelayanan Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru. Lansia yang berada di panti werdha tidak seluruhnya sehat. Sebagian lansia memiliki penyakit seperti hipertensi. Gastritis, post stroke, halusinasi, isolasi sosial, skizofrenia dan lain-lain. Panti werdha Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru telah membuat jadwal kegiatan agar lansia tetap dapat beraktivitas di lingkungan Panti Werdha. Panti memiliki jadwal dalam seminggu seperti ceramah agama, membuat keterampilan, bimbingan sosial, pemeriksaan kesehatan, wirid dan senam. Namun demikian, tidak seluruhnya lansia ikut dalam kegiatan tersebut. Berdasarkan data tersebut, terlihat bahwa lansia yang berada di panti memiliki masalah kesehatan, baik secara fisik serta psikologis. Tujuan umum dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penatalaksanaan psikogeriatri berupa Brain Gym, Art Therapy dan Reminiscence Therapy. Metode pelaksanaan berupa praktik secara lansung. Capaian dari kegiatan ini adalah dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, adanya peningkatan kognitif pada lansia serta tidak adanya lansia yang memiliki tanda dan gejala depresi. Rekomendasi dari hasil kegiatan ini adalah hendaknya ada pasrtisipasi dari pihak pengurus Panti agar kegiatan ini dapat dilaksanakan oleh terapis yang sudah terlatih agar kegiatan ini dapat berkelanjutan.
Complementary food for breast milk (MP-ASI) is an additional food that is clean and rich in nutrients and functions for good child growth. Mothers must have good and appropriate behavior in giving MP-ASI to children so that children's growth is optimal. Good and proper feeding behavior requires an education to improve maternal behavior by providing nutrition education with audiovisual media. The aim is to present an overview of the use of audiovisual media in nutrition education on the behavior of giving complementary feeding and the growth of children aged 6-24 months. Literature review through Google Scholar, Science Direct, PMC and Cocherance Library journal in the last 5 years (2015-2020). The data were analyzed in a table containing the author's title, year, methodology, results and recommendations. The results obtained six relevant articles. The six articles explain that nutrition education with audiovisuals does not have a significant difference with other educational media in increasing the behavior of giving complementary feeding by mothers, while for the growth of children the use of audiovisual media education has not been able to fully increase growth. The implementation of audiovisual education by health workers must pay attention to the content and mechanism of information delivery. Good content is short but clear, contains demonstrations and uses easy-to-understand language. The delivery mechanism is provided on an ongoing basis and can be done in collaboration with other media.
