This research aimed to evaluate individual level reaction, learning using situational tests and impact of three trainings conducted at a regulatory agency, analyzing: individuals' previous experiences in trainings; customers' sociodemographic variables; support to transfer; and relationships between the variables. The survey comprised 211 respondents, five instruments for data collection, and descriptive and non-parametric statistics for data analysis. The results indicated that: there is no significant correlation between learning and impact self-assessment; there is a significant correlation between reaction assessment and impact self-assessment; and the participants' psychosocial support assessment was significantly related to their impact self-assessments. The main contributions and limitations of the study are discussed.
Qualitative training evaluation AbstractThis research aimed to qualitatively evaluate the effects of three training activities, identifying enabling and disabling factors for learning in the context in question, according to instructor and participant perceptions. Two instruments for data collection were used: a semi-structured interview script and a semi-structured script for focus groups, applied respectively to training instructors and graduates. Data were analyzed using content analysis (Bardin, 2011). The interview transcripts analysis resulted in eight content categories and, from the focus groups, five content categories. Training graduates indicated instructional design, environment, and instructor characteristics as learning enablers. Disabling factors for learning were related to individual and environmental characteristics, and organizational support. These results suggest that additional qualitative surveys be conducted to deepen the understanding about the relationships between variables in training evaluation.
IntroductionCongenital heart disease (CHD) comprises the anatomic malformations that jeopardise the structure and function of the heart. It can be extremely complex and serious, corresponding to 30% of all deaths in the first month of life. The surgical approach for adequate treatment requires postoperative mechanical ventilation. The most critical decision related to the postoperative management of patients submitted to cardiac surgery is the right time for extubation, especially because not only abrupt or inadequate discontinuation of ventilatory support can lead to clinical decline and necessity of reintubation but also extended time of mechanical ventilation, which can lead to complications, such as pneumonia, atelectasis, diaphragm hypertrophy, and increasing morbidity and mortality. Methods and analysisThis systematic review plans to include individual parallel, cross-over and cluster randomised controlled trials regarding any breathing trial test to predict extubation success in children submitted to cardiac surgery due to CHD. Studies with paediatric patients submitted to cardiac surgery for congenital cardiopathy repair, attended at a critical care unit, and under mechanical ventilatory support will be included. The main outcomes analysed will be success of extubation, reduction of pulmonary complications and time reduction of mechanical ventilation.Ethics and disseminationWe will not treat patients directly; therefore, ethics committee approval was not necessary because it is not a primary study. We expect that this study may improve healthcare and medical assistance, helping healthcare professionals with routine daily decisions regarding the correct time for extubation.PROSPERO registration numberCRD42021223999.
This research presents as theme the profitability of the companies listed in the ISE - Corporate Sustainability Index. The general objective is to investigate whether the companies that are part of the ISE portfolio of the clothing, telephony and food industry segments in the years 2015 to 2017 presented a return and financial security for the shareholders. As for the methodology, this is a quantitative, documental and exploratory descriptive research. The data that compose the sample of this present research were collected through the financial statements of 19 companies listed in B3 for the years 2017, 2016 and 2015. The liquidity, indebtedness and economic indices are calculated to investigate whether companies classified in ISE economic and financial performance. To test whether the ISE component companies are more profitable, less indebted and have a better financial situation, the T-Student test is used. In the analyzes referring to the financial security indicators, it is stated that the companies participating in the ISE have a greater capacity to honor their commitments with or without dependence on their inventory, but in the analysis of dry liquidity under the standardized criteria of significance level, the averages are the same. In relation to the level of indebtedness, listed companies have a greater record of short-term debt and, on the other hand, non-ISE companies are more dependent on third-party capital. However, the study evidences a higher profitability of the companies included in the ISE portfolio and proves the viability for shareholders to invest in companies that are classified by the ISE.Incluir o resumo em inglês.
