Biological materialThe fungal pathogen used in this study is the susceptible Candida albicans isolate MY18-22998/18346 and the Candida albicans isolate MY18-53502/18870 resistant to Amphotericin B and Fluconazole. These different strains were isolated from samples taken from patients infected with HIV/AIDS in the Institut Pasteur mycology laboratory in Côte d'Ivoire. They were cultured in a culture medium consisting of Sabouraud chloramphenicol agar (Bio Mérieux).
