This paper presents the design of a microstrip diplexer using step impedance resonator (SIR) with folded hairpin structure. The diplexer consists of two third-order Chebyshev bandpass filters operating at 0.9GHz and 1.8GHz within GSM frequencies band. A diplexer is constructed by connecting two filters to a Y-junction. There is no spurious responses reside within the two passband frequencies. A well agreement between simulation and experimental results has been obtained.
A compact dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) with controllable bandwidths is designed using two stubs loaded on a half-wavelength resonator. The dual-band performance is realized using two similar resonator structures. The two resonators share a common circular via located at the midpoint of the resonators for smaller circuit size. The nearest unwanted spurious occurs outside the second passband. The filter is designed to have center frequencies at 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz. The measurement result shows that both passbands have 3dB bandwidths of 10.9% and 9.1% and insertion losses of 1.2dB and 1.6dB, respectively.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology has been widely applied in almost small and large-scale manufacturing industries and being extensively educated in universities. However, most of the commercial CNC machines for educational use are only main for laboratory activities and not suitable for teaching use due to its large structures and complicate functionalities. Often, the machines were not designed to serve as an educational tool. This study is restricted to the appropriate CNC education tool was developed as a potential tool that could promote active learning opportunity across multi-discipline of interest mainly for the first year undergraduate students. Besides, its promote retention of knowledge. The article will emphasize on the construction of a CNC tool appropriate to be integrated into teaching computer-aided design that could stimulate student learning. A survey was conducted on student perceptions about the tool for educational use and takes the observational study of the novice student's attitudes in response to a new situation of learning.
Cloud computing has become popular in the academic sector and has attracted the attention of academe, more specifically instructor and student. In this paper, the author reviews the cloud computing technology used in education and impact of the services on student learning and various educational potential of cloud-based tools and services for exploitation in teaching and learning are studied.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
