This study aims to (1) know the process of applying angklung musical instrument playing activities, (2) to know the musical intelligence improvement of 5-6 year old children in TK Negeri Pembina Serang City Through playing musical instruments. Type of research is action research using model of kemmis and MC Taggart. The subjects were 15 children aged 5-6 years in TK Negeri Pembina Serang-Banten. The object of research is the musical intelligence of children. Data collection method is done through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis technique is done qualitatively and quantitatively. The success indicator in this research is 60%. The results showed that the musical intelligence of children increased to 68% of pre-research results by 26% up in cycle I of 42% of these results can be concluded that the activity of playing Angklung musical instrument can increase musical intelligence of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Affairs Pembina Serang City-Banten.
