Surveillance of social media content has become the norm in the lives of Internet users. For governments and companies, social media monitoring data is often used to understand the effectiveness of some policies and product promotion. Some scholars believe that for governments and enterprises, gradually shifting the center to the surveillance of video and image content may improve the efficiency of obtaining information about online users. Data analysis and interviews were attempted to study the positive impact of monitoring photo and video content in government policy enforcement and corporate product promotion.
