This article explains that all religions strictly prohibit acts of terror that can threaten harmony, wholeness and diversity of the nation. Terrorism and radicalism are not always ideologically motivated, but non-religious factors are dominant such as social, economic, political and others. Therefore, it is necessary to promote and promote a new discourse and paradigm of inclusive and tolerant Islamic understanding of moderation of Islam (wasathiyah al-Islām). The emergence of radical Islamism must immediately be balanced with the vision of moderate Islam. That is the image of Islam that upholds the valuesof moderation, tolerance and equality of rights.Moderation of Islam is a middle ground in the midst of religious diversity. The image of moderation of Islam appears in harmony between Islam and local wisdom. This Local Value as a cultural heritage of the archipelago, can be juxtaposed parallel so that between the spirit of Islam and cultural wisdom goes hand in hand, not mutually negate. This is where the image of Indonesian Islam is considered very appropriately applied in the context of cultural heterogeneity in the ASEAN region and the world.
One important concept in Islamic education is the concept of Fitrah. The concept of Fitrah is not identical with the Empirism Theory (tabularasa theory). Therefore, the Empirism theory -propounded by John Locke -view that people is white, like the paper has not been crossed out. Environment and education is that gives color to the paper. In contrast, the view that human nature (Fitrah) is more than just a white paper and clean, but in nature there is the potential that is carried by humans. That potential is the power or strength to accept religion or Tauhid. Therefore, the environment and education has a strategic role in developing human nature.Finally, well-educated nature make him as a generation of people who love peace, inclusive and continuous improvement. Keywords: Fitrah concept; human; Islamic education AbstrakSalah satu konsep penting dalam pendidikan Islam adalah konsep Fitrah. Konsep fitrah tidaklah identik dengan teori tabula rasa. Sebab, Teori tabula rasa -yang dikemukakan oleh John Locke -memandang bahwa manusia itu putih bersih, ibarat kertas belum dicoret. Lingkungan dan pendidikanlah yang memberikan warna pada kertas tersebut. Sebaliknya, fitrah memandang manusia lebih dari sekedar kertas putih dan bersih, melainkan dalam fitrah terdapat potensi yang terbawa oleh manusia. Potensi itu adalah daya atau kekuatan untuk menerima agama atau Tauhid. Oleh karena itu, lingkungan dan pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam mengembangkan fitrah manusia. Akhirnya, fitrah yang terdidik dengan baik akan menjadikan dirinya sebagai generasi bangsa yang cinta damai, inklusif dan terus bersaing (continous improvement).

This research examined the Arabic language development and learning at Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah, Yogyakarta. Research diagnosed the components or sub-systems in Arabic language learning, which involved students, teachers, learning goals, methods, and Arabic text books. It is intended to describe the learning process of Arabic language in perspective of system approach. This research is a mixed research of qualitative and quantitative methods. In general, the interaction of sub-systems, namely students, teacher conditions, goals, methods, and text books is collaborative and cooperative. Even though, some problems were still found in each sub-system. The interaction of sub-systems in the learning process that implemented the interdependent, cooperative and dynamic principals, worked well. In addition, it is necessary to perform educational efforts to improve teacher competencies and student quality with education and training, workshop, seminar, text-book writing, comparative study, and direct practice. Therefore, the Arabic learning process may find an ideal format and solutive and educational steps in designing Arabic language learning that is active, conducive, creative, innovative, and fun.Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangan dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. enelitian ini mencoba mendiagnosa komponen atau sub-sub system dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang meliputi siswa, guru, tujuan pembelajaran, metode, dan buku ajar bahasa Arab.Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran bahasa Arab dalam perspektif pendekatan system. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kombinasi (mix research) antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Secara umum, interaksi antar sub system seperti siswa, kondisi guru, tujuan, metode, dan buku ajar saling kolaboratif dan sinergis. Meskipun masih banyak ditemukan beberapa masalah di masing-masing sub system tersebut. Interaksi antar sub system tersebut dapat berjalan dengan baik dalam proses pembelajaran dengan melaksanakan prinsipi interdependensi, sinergitas, dan dinamis. Disamping itu, perlu melakukan upaya-upaya edukatif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan kualitas siswa dengan pendidikan dan pelatihan, workshop, seminar, penulisan buku ajar, studi banding (comparative study), dan praktek langsung (direct practice). Dengan begitu, proses pembelajaran bahasa arab dapat menemukan format ideal dan langkah-langkah solutif-edukatif dalam mendesain pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang aktif, kondusif, kreatif, inovatif dan menyenangkan.

The book al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyah al-Mu’ashirah was written by Eckehard Schulz is one of the Arabic language textbooks that studied by the Arabic language learners. This Arabic textbook is an intensive basic course in Arabic language for beginners student at the Oriental Institute of the University of Leipzig Germany. This book aims to study Standar and Modern Arabic Language, both written and communication. Therefore, this article will describe about the contents and systematic book comprehensively. Beside that, this book will be analyzed more in depth with the design criteria ideal textbook development through several stages such as selection, gradation, presentation and repetition. finally, through it will be known aspects of important notes and excellences as a Arabic text book for non Arab.
