An experimental study was performed to investigate the effect of using a continuous operation two-axes tracking on the solar heat energy collected. This heat-collection sun tracking which LDR (light dependent resistor) sensors installed on the Fersnel lens was used to control the tracking path of the sun with programming method of control with a closed loop system. The control hardware was connected to a computer through Zigbee wireless module and it also can monitor the whole tracking process information on a computer screen. An experimental study was performed to investigate the effect of using two-axes tracking on the solar heat energy collected. The results indicate that sun tracking systems are being increasingly employed to enhance the efficiency of heat collection by polar-axis tracking of the sun. Besides, the heating power was also measured by designed power measurement module at the different focal length of Fresnel lens, and the design of shadow mask of LDR sensors is an important factor for solar photothermal applications. Moreover, the results also indicated that the best time to obtain the largest solar irradiation power is during 11:00 –13:00 in Taiwan.
This study proposes a low-complexity region-based authentication algorithm for three-dimensional (3D) polygonal models, based on local geometrical property evaluation. A vertex traversal scheme with a secret key is adopted to classify each vertex into one of two categories: embeddable vertices and reference vertices. An embeddable vertex is one with an authentication code embedded. The algorithm then uses reference vertices to calculate local geometrical properties for the corresponding embeddable vertices. For each embeddable vertex, we feed the number of reference vertices and local properties into a hash function to generate the authentication code. The embeddable vertex is then embedded with the authentication code, which is based on a simple message-digit substitution scheme. The proposed algorithm is of low complexity and distortion-controllable and possesses a higher and more adaptive embedding capacity and a higher embedding rate than most existing region-based authentication algorithms for 3D polygonal models. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed algorithm.
In the past, serious accidents of nuclear power plant usually had relation with the negligence, error handling and wrong decisions of operators. Therefore, to understand and be able to measure mental workload levels of operators are significant for safety issues in the nuclear power plant, especially when operators face emergency conditions. Therefore, this study is to determine the physiological indicators to measure the operator in the task of mental workload. This paper was to use electrocardiogram (ECG) measurements, to collect the RR-Interval data; heart rate variability (HRV) to analysis the complexity of the operator. After importing the data to calculate heart rate variability of complexity analysis, it can help us to understand the operator for the analog-digital platform adaptation. The virtual analog-digital nuclear plant control room is built using a 3D game development tool called Unity3D.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
