Cynodon dactylon is one of the traditional herb which have been used since ages to treat various disorders and diseases. The main aim of this review is to focus the new areas of development in the field of medicine with respect to the pharmaceutical industry. The various aspects of the medicine have ensured numerous products which have been introduced by various pharmaceutical manuactures. To treat epilepsy this herb is used since ages and now have shown a potency in good amount to treat the disorder. Various constituents have been seen in different studies for the same. Thus to ensure the potency and its ability the herb is reviewed with new studies over the period of time. Thus the article contains various aspects of the herbal analysis in a form of review with future expectations.

The paper deals with a generalized estimator of population mean which includes several estimators as its particular cases. Under certain conditions, the proposed estimator is more efficient than existing estimators. Results are supported by numerical illustration.
