Today, the advancement of internet has provided an opportunity for banking institution in introducing new financial innovations. One of the emerging financial innovations introduced by banking institution is online banking. This study adopts a technology acceptance model (TAM) to investigate factors that determine an individual's intention to use online banking by bank customers among higher learning students in Malaysia. The additional of TAM includes usefulness, ease of use, credibility, self-efficacy, compatibility and intention to use. By using simple random sampling, one hundred and seventy college students from university campuses in Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Polytechnic will took part in the survey. Data was collected via questionnaires; the constructs Perceived usefulness and computer self-efficacy with three items were adapted from Wang et al. (2003). Perceived ease of use with four items was adapted from Nysveen et al. (2005). Perceived credibility with two items were adapted from Pikkarainen et al. (2004). Behavioral intention with two items was adapted from Venkatesh (2000). The data were analyzed using Structural equation modeling (SEM) using AMOS 18. Understanding what influences users to accept internet banking can be beneficial to banks, system developers and marketing practitioners in developing and marketing internet banking services that will be acceptable by the target market. The research finding shows that there is significant relationship between self efficiency towards intention to use of internet banking.
A new technology in construction has implemented Industrialised Building System (IBS) as an adoption of a new method. Till date, the reception of Industrialised Building System (IBS) has been effectively advancing by Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB). Several of exertions have been taken, for example tremendous of research financing, preparing, and building up standard and other showcasing plan. From previous writing and industry report, the appropriation of IBS was practiced gainful to improve the construction quality and profitability and spare expense and also the duration of completion projects. However, there are still a few issues and problems, such as supply chain and design drawing issues, which has always been one of the biggest problems that should be taken care of in the construction industry. Nowadays, Industrialised Building System (IBS) also has been modified in many ways to make it more practical to use in the construction field. The IBS usage becomes a trend and also a requirement for a government project especially in the northern region of Malaysia such as Kedah and Perlis. Hence, this paper focuses on latest review which is about the new method implements in Industrialised Building System (IBS) technology, which is known as a Hybrid System method. This system is not yet to be found since it is one of the pilot projects from the government. Thus, the survey for this paper will evaluate the outcome whether the new Hybrid System method leads to delay in Industrialised Building System (IBS) or it can help to improve the deferrals of construction.
Abstract. It is irrefutable that the construction industry is in need of a highly technological construction method or system for the simple aim of giving it a push it deserves. In Malaysia this technologically enhanced method is known as the Indutrialised Building System (IBS). Concerted efforts have been made for the past decade by various responsible parties especially by the government. Therefore, the IBS 'Road Map' 2003-2010 was introduced and now continues with the IBS 'road map' 2011-2015. However, its performance is still at its infancy, which target is only at an initial stage. This study seeks to identify and analyse the factor of the IBS' system's supply chain flexibility as a factor on the success of the system itself. It has been a suspicion that there exists a condition and situation where the supply chain is too rigid and is not flexible in fulfilling the needs and demands of the IBS development in Malaysia. This inflexible situation has brought about a broad range of problems and has stood in the way of the development of the industrialised building system, despite it being introduced since 1964, or 49 years ago. Flexibility in the IBS supply chain is very important and is associated with other industries like transportation, manufacturing industry, and others. Up until now, we have yet to discover any special studies related to the flexibility in the IBS supply chain in this country. Responding to this challenge, this research is hoped to be able to provide sufficient feedback to the solution to the IBS supply chain flexibility issue. The researcher is confident that the poor system flow of supply chain has impeded the advancement of the Industrialised Building System that has long been open to debate.
Hybrid System method is one of the technology implements in Industrialised Building System (IBS). Methods has been acquaint in many ways in order to improve Industrialised Building System (IBS) in Malaysia. Other country such as United Kingdom also have used the term Hybrid for their concrete process known as Hybrid Concrete Construction (HCC). While in Malaysia, Hybrid System comes with a method that combines one component with two different method which are the precast component and cast-in situ method. This two combination method has called a Hybrid System method and started implements by Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) for mostly a government projects in Kedah state in Malaysia on 2017. Industrialised Building System has been well known as a fast completion, saving cost, and less labour needed in construction. However, the issues by using Hybrid System method has double up the time completion, splurging the cost, and enlarge the labour since it needs to cast-in situ the components, let the concrete cured and more material usage. The significance of study for this research is the new method of IBS Hybrid System is a pilot project in Kedah by JKR. Thus, this research is to control the delay involves in projects that apply IBS Hybrid System. Hence, this paper is to identify the advantages of using Hybrid System method in Industrialised Building System (IBS).
