The phenomena that appear in the library as an information center, there are twt all of information sources are available in rhe library. It indicates that user has a special consideration ro preparing the theses, and dissertation using the infonnation sources by internet in the Library of the Faculty of Philosophy of Gadjalt Mada University.The purpose of rite research is  analyze rite attributes as a major preferencefor the users who is writing the thesis and dissertation using internet information sources. The attribute that is used in research is the ease factor ro find the information, accessibility, availability of rite library collections. librarian behavior and user behavior.The data thor is used in this research is the primary  data that fouaded  byquestionnaire of respondents who are writing the thesis and dissertation in the library of the Faculty of Philosophy of Gadjah Mada University between 2005 to 2010 academic years . The instmmem are used in this research using SPSS to get the variables that is considered writing thesis and dissertation as well as tofi nd the most coveted combi110tion for the user looking for information source from online diltabases.The result  of the research show that the user references of the informationsourcesfrom onli11e databases however the collections that are available in print in the librtuy of the Faculty of Philosophy of Gadiah Mada University are still needed. Based on the demographic of respondents, the most user who come in the library qf the Faculty of Philosophy of Gadjah Mada University is man in bachelor degree with the rate is 50,8%, 72,9 % are the bachelor degree respondents In productive age between 21-30 years old. and the most respondents is bachelor degree (Sf ) is 55%,While the use of internet is 3-5 hour a day, the use of online darabases as references in write rhe thesis mtd dissertation is 83.1 %. The research show that the users who access of the information sources using online databases in the library of the Faculty of Philosophy of Gadjah Mada University to writes the thesis mul dissertation is more than the users who looks for print reforences in the Library of the Faculty of Philosophy of Gadjah Mada University to writes the thesis and dissertation. The t«ers choose the online databases as a means of accessing i'![ormation because of low cost, the information is up dare, and complete, it can used to shore the in.fonnarion, and easy to use depend use prim collection in the library.

The quality of the library will impact the quality of the students and the research. Main Library of Gadjah Mada University as a unit of the information service is expected to be able to provide the information which can fulfill the user needs and also can be a place to process information retrieval. In addition, the available of the computer technology service can motivate the user to visit library more often. Research method which is used is mixture research i.e descriptive qualification and survey. The respondents who are interviewed consisted of SO, SI, S2, S3, lecturer; researcher, staff of UGM and the users outside of UGM. Whereas, some methods which are used were observation, interviewed and distributed the questionnaire to 200 users. Analysis is done after interpreting the result of interviews and the survey which the data analysis and the process of the data collecting were observed at the same time. The 3 flow models of Miles and Huberman in Bungin is used i.e data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The result of the research of the computer technology use in Gadjah Mada Library, as follows: it provides positive impact to the user to visit the library, it shows 94% of the user search the reference materials which are used by the lecturer including papers, lecturing materials, thesis, result of the research and result of the laboratory, it is expected the implementation of the computer technology in the library can change the catalog card to cut the long queue, it shows 75% of the user know very well how to use the computer optimally. The user always follow the technological trend of the computer, and have the enthusiasm high to read. Collection of The Main Library of Gadjah Mada University in the reality shows 75% have fulfilled the user requirement, and so do sum up the adequate computer enough, but require to be added its amount. The service of access internet in this research is inclusive of quickly and better compared depend to library offaculty. The user used the SIP US program very easy, because its program is easy to use. The staff giving services attitude of the user very fulfilled and the system of services circulation use one card system, so that facilitate made easy for staff and the user. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi persepsi pemustaka dalam memanfaatkan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi dalam hal ini universitas, dan korelasi antara persepsi pemustaka dan pemanfaatan perpustakaan. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan universitas merupakan tempat yang menjadi pilihan untuk belajar dan menghabiskan waktu selama tidak ada perkuliahan di kampus. Kegiatan pemustaka di perpustakaan sering digunakan untuk hal-hal tertentu, termasuk studi individu, membaca, penggunaan komputer, mencari informasi, belajar kelompok, menggunakan layanan referensi dan informasi, dan pertemuan juga diskusi kelompok dan bersosialisasi. Korelasi antara penggunaan perpustakaan dan masing-masing kegiatan pemustaka diamati. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa pemustaka menganggap perpustakaan universitas, sebagai tempat untuk belajar dan mencari informasi. Studi ini menunjukkan bagaimana pemustaka memandang dan menggunakan perpustakaan universitas dapat memperkuat, memberikan wawasan ke dalam proses pembelajaran, menumbuhkan enterpreneurship, dan memajukan peran pemustaka dalam komunitas akademis.This study explores the perception of users in utilizing the college library in this university and the correlation between the perception of the user and the utilization of the library. The findings show that university libraries are the preferred place to study and spend as long as there are no lectures on campus. Library activity is often used for certain things, including individual studies, reading, computer use, information seeking, group learning, reference, and information services, and group meetings and group discussions and socializing. The correlation between the use of libraries and each observation activity is observed. The findings show that the librarian considers the university library, as a place to learn and seek information. This study shows how viewers view and use university libraries can strengthen, provide insight into the learning process, foster entrepreneurship, and advance user roles in the academic community

Artikel ini mencoba menggambarkan penggunaan situs web perpustakaan sebagai alat untuk mempromosikan layanan perpustakaan di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Hampir semua perpustakaan perguruan tinggi memiliki situs web perpustakaan. perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah merubah semua cara-cara tradisional ke arah teknologi informasi. Promosi layanan perpustakaan yang dilakukan menggunakan situs web perpustakaan mampu menjangkau pada lapisan generasi saat ini. Selain situs web perpustakaan, pemustaka perpustakaan juga menggunakan media sosial untuk menemukan informasi-informasi yang menarik dari perpustakaan. Perpustakaan harus melakukan gerakan cepat menangkap fenomena generasi milenial dalam mengakses informasi menggunakan web dan media sosial. Salah satu kegiatan promosi perpustakaan juga dilakukan menggunakan web perpustakaan dan media sosial di 12 perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yang dipilih. 12 Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta di Yogyakarta yang telah memiliki website perpustakaan. Perpustakaan Universitas Gadjah Mada telah melakukan promosi menggunakan web perpustakaan dan media sosial. Humas perpustakaan berperan penting dalam mendesiminasikan kegiatan layanan perpustakaan kepada pemustaka.

Kondisi pandemi COVID -19 sebagai kondisi darurat kesehatan masyarakat di seluruh dunia, diperlukan mitigasi kebencanaan akan ketersediaan literatur tentang pandemi dan dampaknya terhadap perpustakaan akan terus meningkat. Tulisan ini membahas proses tahun terakhir 2021 hingga September 2022 dalam mengembangkan layanan perpustakaan yang sederhana dan memberi gambaran yang lebih luas tentang program dan inisiatif kegiatan pustakawan sebelum, selama, dan pandemi COVID-19 normal (November 2021 – September 2022). Program dan inisiatif kegiatan pustakawan selama pandemi menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik akses ruang yang dibatasi oleh langkah - langkah keamanan protokol kesehatan, digitalisasi koleksi, dan layanan online. Penulisan ini juga mengkaji inisiatif dan program tahun sebelumnya serta membahas prosedur “new normal” tahap selanjutnya. Tulisan ini akan memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana Perpustakaan Pusat UGM dan Perpustakaan Fakultas Peternakan UGM menanggapi pandemi baru - baru ini, dan menginformasikan aktivitas perpustakaan dan upaya untuk lebih siap mengambil tindakan penting, cepat, dan tegas di era pasca COVID-19.
