This study is descriptive explorative which aims to see the needs of teachers and students in implementing High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) based learning in thematic learning. The research objectives were achieved through observation, interviews and document study. The results of observations show that in learning students have problems with learning interest, this can be seen when students do activities that are not related to learning. Meanwhile, the results of the interviews which were supported by document study data revealed that in the thematic book the conceptual presentation was not given in depth. It is necessary to add various activities that support the student learning process. In addition, the teacher argues that it is necessary to provide pictures as an illustration of the teaching concept given, this is because elementary school students are in the 7-11 year age range who are still in the concrete operational thinking stage which requires textbooks that can present abstract concepts. concretely. Based on this, it is natural that students are not interested in participating in learning. This study concludes that the thematic textbooks currently used have shortcomings in the presentation of HOTS material and supporting activities. To cover these shortcomings, it is necessary to develop thematic books that have a more complete concept of material and are made according to the characteristics of elementary school students and contain various activities to support HOTS ability improvement. The development of textbooks is needed as an effort to increase learning interest so that learning objectives can be maximally achieved.
The implementation of inclusive education does not only have a positive impact on children with special needs. Moreover, the presence of children with special needs in inclusive education can also be a means to develope character education for regular students. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, documentation and triangulation then analyzed using an interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of the research show that: (1) regular students are able to appreciate the differences. (2) regular students are willing to invite students with special needs to participate in every class activity. (3) the great curiosity of regular students encourages them to ask questions, especially to special assistant teachers regarding the actual condition of students with special needs. (4) regular students give good appreciation to students with special needs when they show their talents and abilities in public. (5) regular students are willing to be invited to make friends and lend their belongings to help students with special needs (6) if something happens that is considered difficult for students with special needs, regular students will immediately help. (7) regular students are able to look after and protect students with special needs.
This study aims to examine the use of E-learning based on LMS for college students with special needs during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is a literature study, where the researcher collects relevant data to support the researcher’s ideas. Based on the literature review results, the use of E-Learning based on LMS Edmodo, Schoology, and Learnboost has the same effectiveness despite having different levels of ease of use. Meanwhile, the most frequently used E-Learning based on LMS at the university level is Moodle. In its utilization, E-learning based on LMS has five standard features. So that these five features can be used optimally by students with special needs during the Covid-19 pandemic, things that need to be considered are: (1) particular guidelines for the use of E-Learning based on LMS are available for college students with special needs; (2) audio is available that can be used by college students with visual impairments, (3) sign language is available as an interface so that college students can access it with hearing impairments, (4) available text on lecturer materials in the form of video or audio so that it can be accessed by college students with hearing impairments, (5) there is a virtual keyboard feature available in E-Learning based on LMS which allows college students with physical and motor disabilities to use the mouse to type or do other activities on the computer, (6) the features available in E-Learning based on LMS are designed to accept voice input.
This study aims to evaluate the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) program in fostering archery achievement for people with disabilities in the Province of South Kalimantan. This research focuses on the stages of planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring, evaluating and outcome or the role of the government towards the outstanding athletes. This study uses evaluation research methods through quantitative and qualitative approaches that combine the CIPP model from Stufflebeam and Stake model in the outcome section. This study shows the results of achievement with indicators: 1) the context component (planning stage) shows quite effective results, 2) the input component (organizing stage) shows effective results, 3) the process component (implementation and supervision stage) shows effective results, 4) product components (evaluation stage) show the results are quite effective, 5) the outcome component (output/role of the government towards athletes who have achieved) shows effective results.
