Currently, in the installation of the engineering systems of buildings and constructions, crosslinked polyethylenes (PEXs) are widely used for the cold and hot water supply and heating system piping. The world consumption of crosslinked polyethylenes for these purposes amounts to 55% and is continuing to grow (Figure 1). Crosslinked polyethylenes are produced by peroxide (PEXa), silanol (PEX-b), or radiation (PEX-c) methods [1-6].
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
