The use of oxygen for fuel burning in rotary kilns increases the output of the plant and improves the quality of the fired product [1, 2]. At present oxygen is used at the Novolipetsk and Chelyabinsk metallurgical factories for burning dolomite in rotary kilns. Its use will subsequently be extended. It has therefore become necessary to develop rational methods of burning fuel with oxygen intensification. At the present time, we know of two methods of using oxygen in rotary kilns: enriching the hot secondary air by feeding oxygen through the cooler [2], and feeding oxygen into the flame [2]. In this case the velocity of flow of gas from the conical nozzle is close to critical and the rate of flow of oxygen does not exceed 23 m/see.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
