The article represents the experience of practical application of visual analytics tools that allow to make deliberated and reasonable managerial decisions based on the visualization of large volume of information using Business Intelligence tools. The key feature of the proposed approach is the development of visual models of key performance indicators (KPI) at the strategic level of management of the enterprise. The developed models are considered as a tool for justification of managerial decisions, building business models of high-tech companies, measuring the efficiency of functioning and evaluating the effectiveness of the development of the selected activities. The Business Intelligence tool was used to build a number of visual models for a high-tech enterprise in telecommunications. The novelty of the proposed approach lies in the application of intensively implemented in both Russian and Western companies performance management and management decision making technologies which are aimed at improving competitiveness, import substitution, cost reduction and optimization of business processes. The requirements of a dynamically changing environment, shortening the products' life cycles, global competition with the necessity lead to create specialized visual situational business models built on the basis of powerful automated systems of business planning and graphics, data analysis and processing of information arrays.
The article analyses the experience of the National Research Nuclear University «MEPhI» (hereinafter the University) in the field of formation of managerial competences of the personnel reserve. The authors dwell on the features of implementation of training and developing programs in the field of additional professional education, discuss the issues of the efficiency and effectiveness of realization of training actions. The model of formation and development of the personnel reserve of the University is oriented primarily on solving the problems of increasing competitiveness by enforcing the competencies of high-potential employees in the following key spheres: performance management, goal-setting, motivation, effective communication, time management, planning, organization and control. The model is based on the best practices of domestic and foreign high-tech corporations and educational organizations, primarily using the experience of Rosatom State Atomiс Energy Corporation. The personnel reserve is considered as a competitive advantage in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of activities within the framework of strategic development and implementation of target promising high-tech and knowledge-intensive projects and programs.
The article analyzes the results of measuring the parameters of the engagement of students and research and teaching staff of the university. Based on the experience of the leading consulting companies, MEPhI has developed a technology for assessing the engagement parameters used to measure the level of emotional state of personnel. A special feature of the developed methods for assessing the engagement parameters is the possibility of practical application of the results of analytical research for subsequent management decision-making, as well as the use of the proposed approach by the organizations of higher education. The assessment of the parameters of engagement is focused on solving the problems of increasing the competitiveness of the university by improving the key areas affecting the development of corporate culture: performance management, the possibility of personnel professional development and career growth, the creation of adaptive mechanisms of remuneration and recognition, the development of effective communication methods, improvement of decision-making in the field of infrastructure support, the development of a personnel reserve and mechanisms for adaptation and attraction of young employees. The developed methods for assessing the parameters of engagement incorporate the best practices of domestic and foreign high-tech companies, including the experience of Rosatom State Corporation. The results of the engagement parameters assessment are considered as tools for carrying out work to raise the University performance due to improving the University corporate culture and forming high-potential personnel reserve.
