The article stresses that social tensions as a subject of theoretical sociology, not to mention the more empirical and applied sociology, not beyond the private level, in the specific case of public conflict. However, the society, whatever side we have not considered is the complex open system. Therefore, as a result of targeted research within certain limits (boundaries), definition of social tension and appears in sociology as a nominal definition, without taking into account the general philosophical perspective. Not clarifying the same philosophical aspect in the notion of "social tension", it is impossible to give an interpretation of the notion of a private event without its "inferiority: incompleteness, unilateralism, etc.
