Synthesis and Biological Activity of Uncondensed 2-Thiazolidones with Polymethylene Bridges.-A facile one-pot synthesis of alkylene-bis(thiazolidine-2,4-diones) (V) and their conversion into 4-thione and 4-arylimino-analogues, (VI) and (VIII), resp., is given. All the resultant compounds display moderate bacteriostatic activity. Moreover, diones (V) and thiones (VI) show marked neuroleptic and analgetic activity, respectively. -(ORLINSKII, M. Durch Umsetzung des Chlorchinazolins (I) mit Mercaptochinolin oder Mercaptoacridinen oder von 4‐Mercaptochinazolin (III) mit entsprechenden Chlorchinolinen und Chloracridinen werden die HeterylmercaptochinazoIine (II) und (IV) synthetisiert.
