Epoxy composites have been widely used in the national economy as lacquers, adhesives, sealing compositions, compounds, etc. (ref. 1). Along with the epoxy resin and curing agent, the given composites contain fillers, plasticisers, curing accelerators, and pigments. The properties of the composite depend largely on the type of plasticiser used, making it possible to vary the service characteristics of the cured materials in a wide range. Carboxylic acid esters have been widely used as plasticisers. In this context it was of interest to study margaric acid butyl ester produced by the ozonolytic degradation of octadecene-1 in the presence of butanol-1 (ref. 2
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
