<p><strong>Purpose</strong>: to justify the use of psychophysiological indicators to determine the style of conducting a fight in boxing.</p><p><strong>Material and methods</strong>. The study involved 27 qualified boxers of the middle weight category of 22-25 years. Athletes were tested on psychophysiological indicators. Initially, the determination of the psychophysiological capabilities of athletes was carried out. Then, using a cluster analysis of psychophysiological indicators, the athletes were divided into groups and the features of the styles of conducting a duel between the athletes of each group were analyzed using an expert assessment of their technical and tactical actions. Next, a distinction was made between the psychophysiological indicators of the athletes of the formed groups, i.e. different fighting styles.</p><p><strong>Results</strong>. Cluster analysis of indicators of psychophysiological testing showed the presence of 3 groups of athletes. An expert evaluation of the boxing match styles included in each group showed that the first group included boxers of the counterattack style, “Sluggers”, the second group included athletes of the attacking style, “Swarmers (in-fighter, crowder)”, the third group included athletes of the counterattack and defensive styles, “The out-boxers (out-fighter, boxers)". Boxers - “Sluggers” have higher mobility of nervous processes in comparison with representatives of other styles. Boxers - “pace” are distinguished by significantly higher neurodynamic endurance. “Attackers” - “Swarmer (in-fighter, crowder) ” are distinguished by a higher strength of the nervous system, determined by the number of errors in the test for the speed of a complex reaction in the feedback mode.</p><p><strong>Conclusions.</strong> Psychophysiological and neurodynamic indicators are informative for determining the inclinations of boxers to a particular style of conducting a duel. This provision can be applied at all stages of training athletes to quickly and effectively determine propensities for a particular style of conducting a duel based on innate neurodynamic and psychophysiological characteristics.</p>
Purpose: to reveal the fighting style of veteran boxers based on the individual factor structure of psychophysiological and biomechanical indicators. Material and methods. The study involved 42 qualified veteran boxers (aged 45-50). A biomechanical analysis of the indicators of the movement speed of various points and the values of the joint angles while performing a direct blow by boxers has been used as a research method. The psychophysiological method has been used to determine the time of a simple and complex reaction under standard conditions and in various testing modes. Descriptive Statistics and Factor Analysis have been applied as methods of statistical analysis. Results. Two main factors have been identified in the structure of the complex performance of qualified veteran boxers,. Factor 1 (55.063% of the total aggregate variance) is named "Speed". Factor 2 (44.937% of the total aggregate variance) stands for “Speed Endurance”. Individual factor structure, which is characterized by the distinctive factor "Speed and Coordination Endurance" by more than 80% as well as by the marked factor "Speed" by less than 30% is considered to be a particularity of the tempo style boxers. Individual factor structure, which is characterized by the intensity of the factor "Speed" by more than 80%, and by the distinctive factor "Speed and Coordination Endurance" by less than 30% is considered to be typical for the playing style boxers. The individual factor structure, which is characterized by the marked factor "Speed" by more than 50%, and by the intencity of the factor "Speed and Coordination Endurance" by less than 30% is seen to be peculiar to the strength style boxers. Conclusions. It is shown that the psychophysiological features of boxers of different fighting styles are reflected in the features of the direct strike technique. The lack of speed at the beginning of the movement in tempo style boxers is supplemented and compensated by the high speed of movement. Playing style boxers are characterized by a high speed of movement at the very beginning of the strike. Strength style boxers are characterized by the gradual development of movement speed.
Purpose: to reveal the styles of fighting veteran boxers on the basis of a multivariate analysis of psychophysiological and biomechanical indicators. Material and methods. The study involved 42 qualified veteran boxers (age 45-50 years). As research methods, we used a biomechanical analysis of the indicators of the speed of movement of various points and the values of the angles in the joints when performing a direct blow by boxers. The psychophysiological method was used to determine the time of a simple and complex reaction under standard conditions and in various testing modes. We used the method of cluster analysis to distribute athletes into groups using the SPSS - 17.0 program. Within the groups, the athletes are as similar as possible to each other in terms of the analyzed indicators, and between the groups they differ as much as possible. The analysis of the groups of athletes obtained with the help of cluster analysis made it possible to identify athletes with the following styles of fighting: tempo, game, power. Results. Cluster analysis of psychophysiological and biomehanical testing showed the presence of 3 groups of athletes. The clusters were named as follows: Cluster 1 - "Speed and coordination endurance", corresponds to the boxers of the pace of the fight; Cluster 2 - "Speed", corresponds to the boxers of the game style of fighting; Cluster 3 - "Strength and speed", corresponds to the boxers of the pace of the fight. Biomechanical features of boxers of different styles of fighting are reflected in the trajectories of the points of the fist, elbow, knee. Conclusions. The results of this study should be used when planning the individual training of athletes in boxing and to determine the optimal style of competitive competition for qualified veteran boxers. The proposed methods of psychophysiological and biomechanical testing to determine the individual characteristics of boxers are an effective, fairly accessible and convenient tool for revealing the predisposition of boxers to a certain style of fighting.
Purpose: The author tried to examine the water and sand exercise models to maximize athletes’ training ability as exercise media. Material and Methods: This research is experimental research with a “Two Groups Pretest-Posttest” design that includes a pre-test before the subjects are given treatment and a post-test after the treatment. The research populations were twenty male athletes from a basketball club in Yogyakarta, selected using a random sampling technique. All samples were subjected to a pre-test to determine the treatment group, ranked by their pre-test scores, then matched with the A-B-B-A pattern in two groups with ten athletes each. The sampling technique used in this dividing step was ordinal pairing. This research was conducted 18 times in treatment. The instrument used was an agility test using the Lane agility test. The movements for each number are as follows, (1) Sprint, stunt step, (2) Right slide (running with a guard position to the right side), (3) Run backwards, (4) Left slide, (5) Right slide, (6) Sprint, stunt step, pivot, (7) Right slide, (8) Sprint. Results: The research used normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. To test the hypothesis, the researchers used the two types of t-tests, namely paired sample test and the independent sample test. The T-test is a statistical analysis technique that can be used to determine whether there is a significant difference between two sample means or not. The results revealed that the t count was 2,335 with a p significance value of 0.031. Because the t-count was 2.335 and the significance value was <0.05, these results indicated a significant difference. Conclusions: There was a significant difference in the effect of the exercise methods (water exercise and sand exercise) on agility. The sand exercise training method was higher (better) than the water exercise training method on the agility of basketball athletes.
The monograph presents the results of more than 30 years of work on the development and experimental verification of various techniques and technologies on the integral harmonious effects on the body for promoting health, for the integrated development of the motor and intellectual abilities of man in various life stages. Technologies contain complexes of physical exercises, developed technical devices, methods of psychoregulation. All technologies presented in the monograph are original author’s developments. All of the technologies presented in the monograph received copyright certificates and patents. Technologies combine Western and Eastern approaches to building physical exercises. Most of the techniques developed for one age group can be applied to other age groups, at other life stages. As an initial technique, a set of exercises performed under the poems about nature, for women during pregnancy. It solves the problem of both strengthening the health of the pregnant woman and her preparation for childbirth, and indirectly influencing the developing organism of the unborn child. The monograph also contains complexes of exercises performed under verses with the help of an adult, for children from birth to 1 year; training in swimming for newborns and infants. Complexes of exercises performed for verses are also presented for children from 1 to 7 years old, methods for the integrated development of preschool children with the use of technical devices. For schoolchildren, the methods of controlling loads are considered when playing sports that impose high demands on the work of the cardiovascular system (basketball, football, etc.); methods of activating creative abilities in the employment of various types of motor activity. The monograph also shows the ways of individual approach to the choice of sport (motor activity), as well as the way of individual approach when practicing a certain kind of sport (motor activity). The technologies of diagnostics of psychophysiological possibilities (reaction rate, short-term memory) and properties of the nervous system are presented. Original methods of studying with students, such as basketball on the water and others are also presented. The monograph also contains elaborations for people of mature and advanced age; methods of application of various medicinal plants; methods of autogenic training. All the technologies presented in the monograph have been tested experimentally and have shown their effectiveness. The results of researches of influence of each technology on various aspects of vital activity of people of different age and social groups are presented. The monograph is of interest to specialists in the field of human sciences; theorists and practitioners in the field of health; teachers, trainers, as well as all those interested in the issues of health promotion and self-development. Two doctoral and 16 candidate dissertations were defended in this direction.
