Different pathologies, such as diabetes mellitus and systemic arterial hypertension, can develop Chronic Kidney Disease if they are not adequately treated. Allied to this, the incidence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) increases around 8% per year, as well as the number of patients maintained on replacement therapies, increasing the mortality rate due to the disease. This study aims to analyze the incidence of mortality from Chronic Kidney Disease in the State of Mato Grosso in comparison to mortality from external causes. Among the 4337 deaths in Mato Grosso, due to CKD and external causes, analyzed, there is a higher prevalence of deaths due to CKD in men, a gradual increase in the total population and a great association with advanced age. Thus, it is suggested that the main factors related to mortality from chronic kidney disease in Mato Grosso are age and sex.
