It is essential to inform women treated with AED that planning pregnancy is necessary, when possible. The problems related to antiepileptic therapy and the possibilities of prenatal diagnosis should be accurately discussed with the patient, when possible before pregnancy: individual circumstances, desire to have children, severity of epilepsy, risks of seizures, family history of congenital malformations and all other potential risk factors must be considered, involving the patient in shared clinical decision-making.

Measurements of angular distributions for elastic scattering in the "8 + ' C system were performed in the energy range from 15 to 40 MeV c.m. in =2.5 MeV steps in broad angular regions up to about 170 c.m. The optical-model parameters were determined from the analysis of the cross section at forward angles. The rise of cross section in the backward angles was explained as direct elastic transfer. From the distorted-wave Born approximation analysis, the values of proton spectroscopic factor in ' C were found. They exhibit a strong energy dependence in the energy region between 5 and 40 MeV c.m.
