The article is dedicated to the substantiation of the complex parameter that characterizes the technical level of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This parameter includes the maximum lift-to-drag ratio, propeller efficiency, specific fuel consumption, and other components, on which the main flight characteristics, such as flight range and flight duration, depend. To make a comparative assessment of UAVs of different types, a special scale is developed.
In this article, a methodological approach based on a complex indicator (productivity -cost -efficiency) to evaluate the efficiency of using unmanned aeronautical systems is presented as a solution to the problem of searching for objects on the ground. This methodological approach can be used as a substantiation of decisions taken during the act of searching for specific objects and as a comparative evaluation of unmanned aeronautical systems by taking into account their characteristics.
A launch from a ramp is applied in order to increase the effectiveness of unmanned aircraft. To attain this goal, the kinematic parameters of movement during a UAV launch from a ramp are analyzed, formulas to determine these parameters are formulated, and a method for calculating rational geometrical parameters of a ramp, which provides a safe lift-off of a UAV with the specified flight data, is used. This paper considers the advantages of a UAV launch from a ramp and the development of algorithms that help to calculate the characteristics of a UAV launch from a ramp.
Methods to solve the problems of the comparative assessment and selection of unmanned aerial systems are offered. These methods are based on the particular indicators that display the efficiency of unmanned aerial system application. An algorithm that helps to solve such problems has been developed to create a system of support and decision making and to optimise the distribution of resources.
