MnNiSi (Tc = 622 K), the major part of the MnCo1−xNixSi system, and MnFe0.5Ni0.5Si are ferromagnetic. Co and Fe substitutions decrease Tc, but increase the total moment. Compositions close to MnCoSi show antiferro‐ to ferromagnetic transitions with increasing temperature. MnCoSi and MnRhSi are antiferromagnetic. We briefly compare magnetic properties of the ternary silicides with those of related compounds.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
