Accreditation is an effective instrument of quality assurance for these institutions and universities since it provides educational institutions an increased sense of direction and identity with greater sense of accountability and enhanced credibility. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has been implementing the activity of quality assessment and accreditation of HEIs in India. The present study attempts to explore the factors affecting the criterion-wise score and also overall scoring pattern of accredited HEIs of Chhattisgarh state.
