In face of the technological changes derived from Industry 4.0, an initial, gradual and complex process of Technology Transfer (TT) is taking place that strongly relies on the integration between university, industry, and government. In this context, in order to make the Industry 4.0 approach a reality, several requirements need to be met. One of them is the need to qualify people to work in industries. This study aimed to explore the possible changes and perspectives of human work in Industry 4.0. A systematic literature review was carried out following a structured script. 50 were chosen for content analysis, following criteria for qualification and selection of studies. As a result, a number of changes in human skills and tasks, as well as job prospects, were found, standing out the greater flexibility of people, ability for decision-making, among others.
Purpose of the study: The objective of this study is to identify the benefits and challenges of smart industry concept to the human factor, based on the concept of Industry 4.0.Methodology/approach: A systematic literature review was elaborated, based on structured protocols for the selection of a bibliographic portfolio of articles. A bibliometric analysis of the data and content analysis was performed.Originality/relevance: The article discusses human work, focusing on theoretical and practical contributions of international literature. The focus scenario is smart industry, a concept in constant improvement, which currently has acquired influences from Industry 4.0.Main results: The discussions lead us to ponder on human factor in smart industries in the categories physical and mental health at work, human performance and professional career in general. The conclusions points to the need to ensure adequate working conditions in cognitive and psychic aspects, among others.Theoretical and methodological contributions: We present major literature articles, smart industry definitions, main technologies, and grouping benefits and challenges to the human factor.
First aid and prehospital care practices are fundamental in helping victims, often saving lives. This study aims to present the results of a bibliometric analysis regarding first aid, as well as a case report on teaching in first aid to a group of undergraduate students. The latter presents a project developed at a Brazilian public university for engineering students. The core modules addressed in the project were: first aid concepts, specialized distress calling, site safety, injury mechanism, primary and secondary approaches, bleeding control, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, clinical emergences, seizures, intoxications, fractures, burns, immobilizations, and victim transport. A systematic literature review was conducted, which was based on structured protocols, in four databases: Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. Significant data were analyzed, such as years of publication, main journals, and more frequent terms in first aid teaching. The SOS-UTFPR Project aims to provide scholars of engineering and related fields with theoretical-practical knowledge about first aid. As of 2021, it has 3 graduated groups, thus generating relevant data for this research. Its main purpose is to train citizens capable of making assertive decisions in emergency situations, whether at the university, work, home, etc. With this, it was possible to promote the dissemination of the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology (KTT) by training individuals to multiply information, techniques, and acquired knowledge, in order to act preventively and save lives.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
