ASI has the most complete nutritional composition and is ideal for infant growth and development during the first 6 months. However, only 39 percent of all babies in the world get exclusive breastfeeding and there are still many mothers who are less successful at breastfeeding or stop breastfeeding early. Based on Indonesia's Health Profile in 2016 the percentage of breastfeeding in Indonesia from 0-6 months infants was 29.5%. This study aims to determine the relationship of breast care with the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers at the Poskeskel Clinic in Medan. The design of this study was an analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique is total sampling, a sample of 40 respondents. The research was conducted at the Poskeskel Clinic in Medan and in July-September 2018. Data analysis used was the Chi-Square test. The results of this study indicate that the p-value is 0.004 (<α 0.05), which means there is a relationship between breast care and the smoothness of breast milk in postpartum mothers. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between breast care, and the smoothness of breastfeeding in parturition mothers. It is advisable for postpartum mothers to care for the breasts after the baby is born and postpartum at least 2 times a day regularly and it is advisable for health workers to conduct counseling and demonstrate the steps of breast care for pregnant and lactating women so that the production of ASI is plenty and smooth.
Background: Psychological changes in adolescents can be influenced due to hormonal changes in the body and the desire to express sexual appetite so that it can result in increased sexual problems such as increased premarital sexual behavior or free sex. Therefore, it is necessary to do an intervention step to be able to increase information and knowledge for adolescents about reproductive health. This study aimed to determine the effect of information through leaflets on the habit of accessing media related to reproductive health and premarital sexual attitudes on students at Vocational School (VS) Parulian I Medan. Subjects and Method: This was quasi experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design without a control group. The study was conducted from May to July 2019. A total of 133 students of class X and XI of Medan Parulian I Vocational School was selected for this study. The data were collected using a questionnaire. The data was analyzed by Wilcoxon. Results: The habit of accessing media after being given information through leaflets (Mean= 1.59; SD= 0.49) was higher compared to before getting information through leaflets (Mean= 1.26; SD= 0.44), and statistically significant (p<0.001). Pre-sexual behavior marriage after got the information through leaflets (Mean= 42.38; SD= 11.11) was higher than before got the information through leaflets (Mean= 38.92; SD= 11.97), and statistically significant (p< 0.001). Conclusion: Information in the leaflet improved the habit of accessing media related to reproductive health and positive premarital sexual attitudes.
Neonatus atau bayi baru lahir normal adalah bayi yang lahir dari kehamilan aterm (37 minggu sampai 42 minggu) dengan berat badan lahir 2500 gr sampai dengan 4000 gr,tanpa ada masalah atau kecacatan pada bayi sampai umur 28 hari. World Health Organization (WHO) memperkirakan 4 juta anak meninggal selama periode neonatal setiap tahunnya, terutama di Negara berkembang dengan infeksi sebagai penyebab utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perawatan tali pusat dengan lama lepas tali pusat pada bayi lahir di klinik Tio Siringo-Ringo Medan Tahun 2018. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu dengan survey analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional, populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 50 responden, teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini Accidental Sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 responden. Berdasarkan hasil analisa dengan menggunakan Uji Chi-Square test memperlihatkan bahwa nilai signifikan probabilitas (Asymp.Sig) perawatan tali pusat adalah 0,001nilai sig α 0,05, hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada hubungan perawatan tali pusat dengan lama lepas tali pusat di Klinik Tio Siringo-Ringo Medan Tahun 2018. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa perawatan tali pusatsangat mempengaruhi lama lepas tali pusat pada bayi baru lahir.Dianjurkan kepada ibu nifas yang memiliki bayi baru lahir agar belajar dan membiasakan diri melakukan perawatan tali pusat pada bayi baru lahir dengan cara dan teknik yang baik dan benar.
Toilet training in children is an attempt to train children to be able to control in the urine and defecate. According to data in Indonesia the number of toddlers reaches 250 million people. The number of children under five who are difficult to control chapter and BAK at preschool age reaches 75 million children. The purpose of this research is to know the relation of family role to the success of toilet taining at preschool age children in Neighborhood 14 KarangBeromakSubdistrict, West Medan Sub-District Year 2019. This research used analytic survey research design with cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all families who have preschool children who numbered 32 people and the sample in this study used the total population of 32 respondents. Data analysis used univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with chi-square test. Based on the result of 32 respondents 6 (18,8%) family role less 5 (15,6%) unsuccessful and 1 (3,1%) that succeed. While 26 out of 26 (81,3%) good family roles 6 (18,8%) unsuccessful and 20 (62,5%) succeed. After chi-square test p value (0,011) <α (0,05). The conclusion of this research is the relation of family role to the success of toilet training in preschool children in Environment 14 KarangBerombak Village, West Medan District. It is advisable to mothers with children of ages to teach children to do toilet training with affection and sympathy, always advise well and support and give praise for its success, avoid violence and anger.
