Photocatalysis is an alternative for industrial effluents degradation, which is capable of mineralizing compounds. This study evaluated the photodegradation of textile dye using Nb 2 O 5 and ZnO supported on zeolite and activated carbon. ZnO/NaX was the most efficient catalyst, with color removal of 98% for dye solutions at 10 mg L -1 , following pseudo-first order kinetics.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
