Lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) is a high consequence pathogen of cattle that is rapidly expanding its geographical boundaries into new regions such as Europe and Asia. This expansion is promoted by the mechanical transmission of the virus via hematogenous arthropods.
Adult cage size may influence the quality of mass-reared Aedes albopictus sterile males. Surprisingly, wing length, adult survival and egg production resulted somehow better in the smaller cages. Increasing trend of egg production was observed during 20 generation of colonization in the smaller cages.
