This article analyses the influence of weather conditions on the mode of operation of a regulated intersection. As a result of the analysis of regulatory and scientific sources, the authors established a connection between the temperature conditions of the environment and the movement of vehicles in the area of a regulated intersection. The established dependence on the result of the experiment allows us to optimize the traffic light control cycle and coordination programs depending on temperature differences, which allows more efficient control of traffic flows in the area of the regulated intersection.
The paper considers the problem of increasing the service life of road asphalt concrete coatings in conditions of year-round operation by road impregnating materials protection from the effects of climatic and operational factors. Objects of research are various domestic road impregnating materials. The subject of research is estimation methodology of road impregnating materials efficiency, modeling effects of the exposed asphalt during operation in the Central Federal District. The article proposes method of estimation of the impregnating materials resistance to different operational factors and consistent scheme of their impact on the object under study is proposed. We conducted comprehensive assessment of road impregnating materials and the effect of their influence on indicators of quality of asphalt concrete and proposed the mechanism of action to protect road impregnating materials.
The paper investigates the main approaches, applied in the process of assessment of efficiency of changing the traffic management regime. The main parameters, which make the evaluation of effectiveness possible, have been figured out and set, the research has been performed to identify and define these parameters within a framework of the specific object of study, i.e. a controlled intersection in the urban, regional centre. The particular approach, allowing to assess eco-economic efficiency of the alteration of the control and management mode in accordance with such parameters as the saturation level, delay of the vehicles (traffic delays), fuel consumption, amount of harmful toxic emissions, has been successfully developed, the natural and model experiments have been carried out, the prospects and recommendations for an application of this approach have been formulated.
