SAH and its treatment may cause global mild vasogenic edema in white matter and deep gray matter that is undetectable on T2-weighted and diffusion-weighted MR images but is detectable by measuring the ADC value in the subacute stage of SAH.
This pilot study indicates that the rate and extent of nimodipine absorption following enteral administration in some acute SAH patients could be negligible, and this may particularly be the case in patients with a decreased level of consciousness.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
