This study's main objective is to analyze the challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova in the economic crisis, which was caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. The vulnerabilities of the Republic of Moldova's economy and especially its financial system are related mainly to the specifics of the country's economy, which is small, open, with a continuing current account deficit and a strong subordination to international financial flows. This study's conclusions consist in the fact that the external risks related to the COVID19 pandemic can be transmitted in the economy of our country through two channels. First, due to uncertain financial conditions in the international economy, difficulties with international financing may arise. Secondly, the vulnerabilities in the economies of the Republic of Moldova's trading partners will undoubtedly influence the slowdown in exports of goods and services
The main objective of this study is to examine the existence and nature of the relationship between the exchange rate and foreign exchange reserves. To avoid influencing foreign exchange market expectations, the intervention program should indicate in advance the nature, frequency, and size of the central bank's foreign exchange transactions. Thus, in this sense, it is essential to determine the nature of the relationship between the exchange rate and the interventions made from and for the official foreign exchange reserve. Following the realization of this study, it was highlighted the conclusion that through the application of Johansen cointegration tests, between the pairs of variables - NEER and the interventions from/for the foreign exchange reserve; official exchange rate and interventions in/for the foreign exchange reserve - there is at least one cointegration relationship. That is, between the exchange rate and the interventions in/for the foreign exchange reserve, a long-term relationship is highlighted, which can facilitate the forecast.
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of the banking system of the Republic of Moldova under the impact of the resources that influence it, focusing on human resources. The assessment of banking efficiency through financial indicators includes some indicators. Analyzing the notion of efficiency it can be seen that it is dependent on several qualitative factors, which gives it a complex character. The study of bank efficiency mainly involves a causal analysis of the factors that determine the decisions in a related risk environment. In the present paper, we intend to analyze in particular the effect of the banking staff management on bank efficiency, as it is mainly dependent on the way the bank employees’ work. One of the essential factors influencing the Moldovan banking system analyzed in the present study is the efficiency of staff management. From the analysis, it can be noticed that there is a link between the banking efficiency and the efficiency of banking staff management. Banks with better indicators of bank management efficiency also have higher banking efficiency.
The fundamental purpose of this paper is to analyze the transformations in the international financial architecture and their impact on the national financial system. The analysis of the international financial architecture's functioning mechanism suggests its similarity with the software system structure. It is static in the way the system functionality is decomposed and divided into implementation teams. The efficiency of international financial architecture's functioning depends mainly on how balanced and interconnected its elements are. Thus, according to systems theory, only by overcoming the deformation of the international financial architecture at all its levels, it is possible to increase the financial system's overall performance. In this regard, maintaining a dynamic balance in the development of the international financial architecture as an integral unit of its structural elements and functions is becoming of urgent importance. This aspect of the research allows the creation of an instrumental and methodological basis for forecasting the directions for further developing the international financial architecture in the context of the globalization of the world economy at the national financial systems level. This study concludes that the complex solution of the international financial architecture challenges involves creating the foundations for implementing progressive structural changes in the economy and contributing to sustainable economic development.
The primary purpose of this paper is to analyze the transformations in the international financial architecture and their impact on the national financial system. For this purpose, a multi-criteria analysis (matrix approach) is used, which represents a structured approach used to determine the general preferences between several alternative options, which lead to the achievement of several objectives. The approach of the matrix gives the possibility to combine the size of the set of the financial sector. The conclusions of this study consist in the fact that the complex resolution of the challenges in the international financial architecture implies the creation of foundations for the implementation of the progressive structural changes in the economy, capable of contributing to the sustainable economic development.
