This paper examines the use of existing utility poles and streetlights to meet the growing demand for public electric vehicle charging while enabling equitable access to this infrastructure. Building on insights collected from current U.S. pilots and interviews with over 30 stakeholders across city governments, electric utilities, charging equipment manufacturers, and ridesharing companies, this paper offers stepwise guidance for U.S. cities and utilities interested in pole-mounted chargers.
This paper evaluates potential costs of implementing financial incentives for electric vehicles (EVs); specifically purchase subsidies and registration rebates offered in HCMC and the benefits related to individual savings and GHG emissions reductions. The analysis indicates that implementation could deliver net-positive benefits during the early stages of EV adoption in HCMC. Overall, the analysis shows that incentives to make EVs more cost-competitive, along with support for the deployment of charging stations, will be crucial for increasing EV adoption in HCMC.

This paper presents the findings of a consumer survey on VGI of prospective and current Honda EV owners in the United States.
