The processes of blood management, transfusion therapy, transfusion agencies and blood centers have specific observances regulated by ANVISA. To promote the technical and managerial improvement of these services, the National Hemorrede Qualification Program was developed, which consists of technical consultations and use of a script for conformity assessment in different areas, among them, document quality analysis. Based on the model of this program, the local transfusion agency carried out a study of the compliance of blood components requisitions. Two stages of data collection were carried out, one before (Phase 1) and another after (Phase 2) the training of prescribing professionals. With the training program, we obtained an increase in fully compliant requisitions, 15% in Phase 1 and 38% in Phase 2. Despite the result pointing to an increase in the quality of filling in requisitions, there are still points for improvement to be applied by the hemotherapy prescribers. The positive result achieved with just one event suggests that regular training could add more knowledge to prescribers and reflect on the quality of filling out requisitions.
