Ukraine is known for its extremely fertile and high-yielding black soil. This incredible national wealth is also the reason for significant interest on the part of private agribusiness companies and international investors, who today consider Ukraine a strategic partner in addressing global food security. The socio-economic factors determining the state of agribusiness are well known, however, they affect this area in different ways in different countries. The purpose of the academic paper lies in representing the author’s concept of the socio-economic conditions under which the transformation of agribusiness in a developing country takes place, in which the agricultural sector is a priority. Methodology. The authors put forward a hypothesis that the solution to this problem requires the development of agribusiness, a promising tool for which is financial support, including on the part of the state. In the process of conducting the research, in order to test the hypothesis outlined, the authors use methods of modelling socio-economic systems, as well as systemic, problematic analysis, methods of statistical analysis, induction and deduction. Results. As a result of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that the most important problem for the development of agribusiness in Ukraine is the lack and low availability of financial resources, which is caused by the high seasonality of the business, its low profitability and, accordingly, its low investment attractiveness. Integration of agribusiness spheres will help to solve this problem and increase the availability of financial resources for agricultural enterprises, which allows modernizing equipment and production technology, reducing production costs, increasing profitability and competitiveness. The academic paper considers the features of the socio-economic environment in which the agribusiness of Ukraine operates, noting the state of the agricultural market and the largest players on it. It has been determined by trend analysis that while maintaining existing trends, the volume of capital investment in agriculture by 2030 may increase by almost 1,8 times compared to 2020. Along with this, the main negative factors of agribusiness determining its effectiveness have been outlined, namely: significant fluctuations in world food prices and the devaluation of the national currency; import dependence on certain groups of goods and the raw material nature of exports of agricultural products and a significant percentage of production of certain types of agricultural products in households. By the way, the academic paper has also considered the impact of the most significant factor of influence in 2020-2021 - the pandemic, which has significantly changed the ratio of supply and demand in agricultural markets and caused changes in the commodity structure of exports. It is also concluded that agribusiness in this socio-economic situation remains profitable and requires the revival of financial support for this important sector of the national economy.
The research task is the improvement of scientific principles and development of a methodical approach to the modelling of enterprises’ development scenarios that apply business process reengineering in order to increase the level of competitiveness. The urgency of the research. The relevance of further researches is determined by the fact that the practical implementation of scientific approaches in Ukraine has not become popular, and the aspects of business process reengineering have been implemented only fragmentarily. Target setting. The development and discussions of procedural, systemic, and synergetic approaches to enterprise development have determined the concept of business process reengineering. Therefore, the further development of methodical principles for the realization of business process reengineering in the practice of business management is urgent and relevant. Uninvestigated parts of general matters defining. The justification of the expediency of using the tools for business process reengineering through the modelling of the future results at Ukrainian enterprises requires further scientific development. Materials and methods. The historical-evolutionary method was used to investigate the essence and origin of the category of reengineering and to distinguish its main features. By means of analysis and synthesis, the conceptual bases of business processes reengineering are determined. Implementation of complex, systemic, and synergetic approaches as a basis for application of business process reengineering allowed developing a modelling methodology for forecasting scenarios of the level of competitiveness of a business unit. The application of a systematic approach is reflected in the consideration of the impact of external and internal factors on the enterprise, complex factor – in combination of factors with the criteria of the enterprises managing that are able to compete in the world market, as well as the application of method at different levels – macro, meso, and micro. Methods of economic modelling and forecasting were used for forming a model of forecasting of the level of enterprise competitiveness. Results. The main features are segregated and a method for modelling of the results of its implementation is formulated. The algorithm of modelling of development scenario as a result of the application of reengineering is developed. A model for predicting of the level of competitiveness for the Ukrainian economy is constructed as well. Practical implications. The brilliant examples of corporations that received the “second breath” as a result of the introduction and reengineering of processes were General Electric, Toyota and Chrysler, Kodak, Siemens Nixdorf Service, IBM Credit. The proposed methodological approach can be applied by enterprises to predict the level of competitiveness of an enterprise as a result of the introduction of business process reengineering, depending on possible costs and target commodity output. Value/originality. Such a method of forecasting the competitiveness of an enterprise as a result of business process reengineering is important and can be used to predict the level of competitiveness at all levels of management.
Purpose. The aim of this article is to assess the main determinants that affect entrepreneurial activity, and also the mechanism of its regulation in five countries (Ukraine, Romania, Lithuania, Poland, Germany) during the period from 2007 to 2018. According to the purpose of the article it was empirically tested a number of hypotheses. Methodology / approach. The canonical correlation method is considered as a basic method for maximum correlations between groups of variables. The group of performance indicators includes: GDP per capita, the volume of output at market prices, Global Competitiveness Index as indicators that most completely reflect the results and efficiency of entrepreneurial activity. The group of factor variables includes entrepreneurial activity determinants, which to some extent affect the change of these entrepreneurial efficiency indicators. The advantages of the proposed method is possibility to analyze the multiple relationships between business results and the determinants that determine it. Results. The article examines a related area of the economy, namely entrepreneurship, which is largely related to agriculture. The article gradually reveals scientific approaches to identifying the determinants of entrepreneurial activity, followed by the methodology of the conducted research, analysis of results and substantiation of hypotheses. According to the aims of the article, the authors have got the following results: 1. To analyze the entrepreneurial environment, a systematic approach must be applied whereby all the determinants of the entrepreneurial environment are interrelated and influence one another. 2. The canonical correlation method allowed to determine the system of entrepreneurial activity determinants and to confirm the statement that each country has its own system of determinants. It is justified by the heterogeneity of the studied data sample, i.e. the presence of a large difference between the numerical values of indicators for selected countries. 3. The human development determinant is the key to business development in the country. Such conclusions are made on the basis of the determinants system analysis in Germany, where indicators of business efficiency are the highest. Originality / scientific novelty. The article proposes a method of assessing the determinants of entrepreneurial activity through the use of the canonical correlation method. This method allows us to investigate the relationship between two sets of variables and is a generalized version of pairwise correlation, as opposed to factor analysis, which is used to establish relationships within one set of variables. Practical value / implications. Presented study aims to extend the empirical knowledge on the measurement of entrepreneurship at the country level and its determinants. In assessing the determinants of the entrepreneurial environment, the main causes that lead to incomplete utilization of entrepreneurial potential remain unaccounted for. Particularly practical meaning may have a thorough analysis of the determinants of entrepreneurial activity in different countries. Modern European integration aspirations of Ukraine should be provided with real socioeconomic transformations in which the development of entrepreneurial activity is key. The beginning of an effective process of forming an efficient strategic approach to creating a favourable entrepreneurial environment for every country is to study the existing experience of other countries. For Ukraine, in particular, this is the experience of the EU countries.
A necessity to justify HR-management as the main business process with emphasis on applied research and identify the main instruments of an effective HR-management system in the new challenges conditions exists based on the diversity of the scientific problems and the insufficient level of use of the latest approaches in business practice. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the HR-system as the main business process and analyze the latest approaches to HR-management. The elements of scientific novelty. HR-management as the main business process on the basis of correlation analysis is substantiated in the article and the latest approaches to its management are offered. Practical significance. Substantiation of HR-management as a business process that determines the results of activity makes it possible to realize the necessity of new HR-management models searching in practice. And the proposed practical instruments for the procedural approach implementing in business practice will provide an opportunity to form an effective HR-model that meets the new challenges caused by the coronary crisis.
