Kinetics of sorption of 60 Co, 65 Zn, "Sr and 134 Cs by Ismailia Canal suspended matter were studied. The sorption capacity was found to be in the order ,34 Cs > 60 Co > 65 Zn > "Sr. The statistical analysis of the sorption curves showed that the sorption process consisted of two steps: a rapid step followed by a slower one. The half-lives of the sorption process for each nuclide were calculated.
The stoichiometry and stability of the complexes formed between Co (II) and Co (III) on one side and nitrilotriacetic acid on the other side was spectrophotometrically investigated. The chelation of the hydrolysed state of Co (III) with the considered acid was also studied. The behaviour of the Co (Il)-complex on irradiation with cobalt-60 γ-rays was followed spectrophotometrically.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
