This research is aimed to describe a technology-integrated collaborative learning, exploring the student perception associated with the implemented learning method as well as observing the effectiveness of this method compared to the individual method. This research was conducted in Islamic Institute of Ma’arif NU Metro – Indonesia in 2017/2018 academic year. Through the application of cluster random sampling technique, about 28 students were determined as the research sample. The research sample was the fifth semester students of mathematics education who are currently learning the geometric transformation subject. The experimental class which becomes the focus of researcher is consist of 28 students who were derived from the cluster random sampling technique. This research design is a mixed research. Observation sheet, interview, and test of problem solving capability were used as the data collecting instrument. The results of this research indicates that the collaborative process is performing well. The learning process was conducted in the class, not in the computer laboratory. The limited number of laptop did not impact the learning process. The observation results indicate that the level of student enthusiasm in following the learning process is adequately high. The positive comments from students show that the technology-integrated collaborative method has supported them to comprehend the mathematics concepts as well as growing the high intention of learning. Negative comments that occur are associated with the complexity of studied material and the difficulty in using the application for a small number of students. The test results of problem solving capability has shown that the method of technology-integrated collaborative learning provides better results compared to the individual learning..
The purpose of this research is to analyze the ability of interpret symbols in numerical methods. The extent of the interpretation at the level of procedure and calculation only, or its already at the level of understanding of the concepts represented by symbols with good and right way. This type of research is qualitative research. The data that obtained are analyzed in descriptive. The election of the subject based on purposive sampling technique, i.e. taking the subject with considerations/criteria 6 semester students who was taking the course numerical methods, critical and active in discussions. The subject is only drawn by 1 student, subsequently coded MN1.The material is focused in determining the approximate root of equation with the method of false position. The methods used to collect data in this research is the observation, tests and interviews. So, that the triangular used in this research is the triangular techniques. Conclusion based on the results of the research showed the new symbols to interpret NM1 limited calculation procedure only. NM1 considers, with the same symbol but different forms of counting operation, was a mistake. NM1 gives the wrong result of conclusion renders the procedure is only seen from the similarity to the symbol, not the views of the concept behind the use of the symbol.
This study aims to analyze poverty using spatial models. The researchers also compared the Spatial Error Model (SEM) and Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). The comparison of the two models was based on the estimation evaluation criteria and the constructed spatial associations. Spatial regression is considered very appropriate to be used to model the relationship pattern between poverty and explanatory variables when the observed data has a spatial effect caused by the proximity between the observation areas. The spatial dependence of errors on observational data can be overcome using SEM, while the effect of heterogeneity of spatial variance can overcome using GWR.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui: pengaruh model pembelajaran pair check pada materi pokok segitiga ditinjau dari gaya belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental semu dengan desain faktorial 2×3. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 3 Batanghari. Melalui Cluster Random Sampling diperoleh sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII 6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII 5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes prestasi belajar matematika dan angket gaya belajar. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tak sama. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Model Pembelajaran pair check menghasilkan prestasi belajar yang lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik yang memiliki gaya belajar visual lebih baik daripada gaya belajar auditorial dan kinestetis, sedangkan prestasi belajar peserta didik yang memiliki gaya belajar auditorial lebih baik daripada gaya belajar kinestetik. (3) Tidak ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik pada materi pokok segitiga.Kata kunci: Prestasi, Pair check, Gaya, Belajar PENDAHULUANPendidikan merupakan suatu usaha untuk mengembangkan sumber daya manusia dan memegang peranan penting dalam mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia di masa yang akan datang. Kemajuan suatu bangsa sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas sumber daya manusia. Pembaharuan pendidikan harus selalu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan suatu bangsa. Pendidikan merupakan sebuah proses kegiatan yang disengaja di input siswa untuk menimbulkan sesuatu hasil yang diinginkan sesuai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan (Purwanto, 2008). Salah satu indikator keberhasilan pada pendidikan formal berupa hasil belajar siswa dan perubahan perilaku terhadap peserta didik. Pembaharuan pendidikan perlu dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Prestasi belajar matematika di kelas VII SMP N 3 Batanghari tahun 2015/2016 belum optimal, hal ini terlihat dari nilai peserta didik yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) pada materi segitiga masih sebanyak 15 siswa atau 53,57% dari 28 siswa, hal ini masih jauh dari apa yang diharapkan.Model pembelajaran adalah pengajaran yang mengarah pada pendekatan pembelajaran tertentu termasuk tujuan, tahap-tahap dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, dan pengelolaan kelas (Trianto, 2010). Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah model pembelajaran pair checks. Model Pembelajaran pair check merupakan model pembelajaran berkelompok antara dua orang atau berpasangan (Huda, 2013). Model ini menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif yang menuntun kemandirian dan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan persoalan, metode ini juga melatih tanggung jawab sosial siswa, kerja sama, dan kemampuan memberi penilaian.
