This article describes the effects of inquiry learning model on college students’ cognitive and critical thinking skills. The research aims at understanding the extent inquiry learning model improves the college students’ cognitive and critical thinking skills in the lessons of educational philosophy and exploring students’ responses to the model. This is a pre-experimental research design, using the one group pretest-posttest design. The samples of the study were an intact class, the experimental group and no control group is needed. The data was analysed using independent test samples t-test and Normalized Gain test. The Research found that the inquiry model is effective in improving college students’ cognitive and critical thinking ability in an educational philosophy class. Overall, the N-Gain indicator of cognitive ability increased by an average of 0.66, and the N-Gain indicator of critical thinking skills increased by an average of 0.63. This paper offers a solution to improve the quality of human resources through education Islam. Humans are the central points that are the subject and development engineers as well as objects that are engineered and enjoy the fruits of development. In addition, humans are also the only creatures that have the potential to develop themselves through their knowledge. Efforts to develop and improve the quality of human resources can be done through various means, including through education. This education is the path of improving the quality of human resources is more emphasis on the establishment of basic quality, such as faith and piety, personality, intelligence, discipline, creativity and so on. In Islam the human figure composed of two potential to be built, which is outwardly as the body itself and the spiritual body as the controller. Some aspects of the dimensions that must be considered in the development of human resources, among others, cognitive (knowledge), affective (attitude), and psychomotor (skills) greatly influence the process of formation of one's personality.
Technologies of vocational training play an important role in the concept of informal education and they can be implemented as in higher education, and organizational learning. In the modern understanding of education the two sides are emphasizedthe communion of each person to the society and the development of individual personality features. If formal education is moving towards these goals systematically and purposefully at certain training sessions, the place and time of informal education is in no way limited. Informal education can be characterized not only by independent, human progress in cultural development, but also directed and projected improvement of professional and personal skills of employees of organizations. The purpose of this papers to examine informal education not only as an independent, but also as a guide and the projected improvement of the professional and personal skills of employees of organizations. The leading approaches to the study of this problem are social-pedagogical and managerial approaches to substantiate the essence of the process and the role of leaders of organizations trained in the management of such education.
This paper aims to discuss the rights of non-Muslim citizens in Indonesia at government refers to the conception of the state of Dien wa Ni'mah. The main argument in this paper that the concept of Dien wa Ni'mah prioritize law as an important pillar can accommodate pluralism and contextual with the system of the Unitary State of the Republic Indonesia based on Pancasila. The research method used was a historical study, based on a comprehensive literature review from various sources in books and journals about the concept of Dien wa Ni'mah. The results of this study explain that Dien wa Ni'mah is a concept of the manifestation of Islam as a religious teaching that is Rahmatan Li al-Alamin and build human life through law as the main universal pillar, not only as the theological framework and spiritual principles of mankind, also in the life of society, nation and religion. So this concept accommodates the rights of non-Muslims in government by considering pluralism and democracy. Thus making the concept of Dien wa Ni'mah as the nation's perspective to the Civil Society will have an impact on the participation of all parties.
